In the last match of 2002, 6 Revs players were called up - Brown, Cullen, Franchino, Hernandez, Ralston & Twellman.

Ralston and Franchino never made it into camp. Franchino was getting married, but what happened to Ralston? Was he just wiped out from the playoffs and the cup?

Brown and Hernandez never made it into the game.
Brown was injured, but what's up with Hernandez?

For the first match of 2003 only Ralston and Twellman got called into camp.
    Is Brown still injured?
    Did Cullen not impress?
Is Franchino still on his honeymoon?
    Again, what's up with Hernandez?

    Hmm

Are you sure Ralston was called up for that last match? I remember a certain amount of outrage on BS that he *wasn't*. But your other questions (Joey, Hernandez) are legitimate.

I also would like to know how Adin's foot is healing. He has been prone to injury, and we have no backup GK on the roster as of yet. Last I heard, he was doing well.

I have no direct information but what I read someplace was that his injury was a stress fracture of a bone in his foot. These are troublesome injuries and if I remembe correctlyr from my days in Medical Practice the best treatment in rest. I remember reading that he played through the injury during the latter part of the season but that he needed the off season to heal. My sense is that he will be fine by opening day.

    Re: Hmm

IIRC, there was an early 'call up' of 6 Revs players (and some other guys from lesser teams). Then there was an official camp that included only 4 Revs players (Brown, Cullen, Hernandez, and Twellman).

I had figured that maybe Ralston and Franchino declined the invitation - Franchino due to his wedding and Ralston due to fatigue or some other personal reason.

Does anyone else remember it this way?

I remember reading in Soccer America's MLS Confidential that the 6 Revs players were rumored to be called into camp, nothing definite. I never saw an article saying they were all definitely invited.

    Pool vs Camp

The way I understand it works is that about 30 players got a phone call letting them know they are in the "pool". Of these 30, about 24 or so actually get called into the "camp". The actual "roster" for the game is usually 18 of which 11 to 16 or so actually get capped.

Six Revs got the call for the pool for the last friendly of which 4 got to the camp stage.
