Been a few years, I know we spent $4k on cable ads. Targeted ESPN and TBS. Tickets were $7 in advance $10 at the door. probably pretty similar to what the Backs would charge. We went from 0 season tickets to about 120, sponsorship went from $50k to over $250k.
we ran some newspaper ads on game day, bought some radio ads too, but the TV ads got us the most play. What can I say, I'm a miracle worker I parlayed the commercials into my sponsorship packages, giving the sponsor a plug on tv. Had we not had a tornado an hour before our final home game I think we would have have broken 3k in attendance for the season. Soccer marketing is different, and not all marketing people can understand.
