I don't know, but I hope that it does, because I'm doing almost the same thing. I train PM, and this offseason I plan on training passing the entire time, while I probably should do stamina for a week or something, with the changes being made to hattrick, I feel that passing is my more pressing need at the moment.
The person to really ask is Kopite. He is planning on two weeks of passing in the off season. I did a week at the end of last season. It gave me two pops but no real noticable differences in ratings yet. I have picked up several players with high passing and there is a slight difference upward for my ratings.
I'm a PMer, but I'm leaning torward a longterm goal of winger training, as I have some good prospects already for playmaking wingers. Late last season I did passing training - 4 weeks? Odds are, somebody will bump since you are training two times 5 mids/wings and 2-3 forwards. I've been pretty pleased with my team's abilities this season in regards to scoring goals. Haven't seen many 'assist' events though. I know it's helped my team, just cant Identify how much. I'll have to go back over my files and figure out how long I did it and who I had pop.
im not going to train stamina in the offseason... i'm just going to buy middies w/good stamina... (if i have any money at all) But passing seems like a good idea with the new rule changes.
I am training PM during the regular season and in previous off seasons I have trained stamina and/or passing. However, I have more or less maxed out my starting mids at excellent stamina. I have trained passing in the off season before and even gone into the regular season some. I have found it has helped both my midfield and forward ratings. I have also played all my defenders as middies or forwards to help my counter attacking rating. IMO two weeks is too short, but I have a couple of players who are close to popping in passing, so will give them a chance to pop this off season.
I did passing training the last four regular weeks of the season last season and once in the offseason. Had 5 players pop. I'll likely get a number of players to pop that didn't last season.
I train playmaking might do 1 or 2 weeks of goalkeeping soon because i got 2 inadequte keepers but they are about 5-10% away from passable
Although I'm training keeper right now, I don't plan to stay on it permanently. The exact timing of the switch will depend on where I stand at the end of the season. If I spend another season in V, I'll probably hold onto my current keeper and train him out, sell my trainee on his last pop (which will probably be magnificent+), and change to winger training (keeping my primary trainee as my keeper going forward, his level should be high enough to last me indefinitely). If I go up to IV, I'll sell my primary trainee and continue over at least another cycle, because I'll need the money to get players to be competitive.
GK. Going for the quicker money for awhile, and then I'll probably switch to scoring. Depends on how quickly I can upgrade my MF.
