http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20041112/ap_on_re_us/evolution_debate_georgia What do you all think about this, this is in my state and I think it is a bit absurd. And to go on a rant: I though the ACLU set out to "Defend Civil Liberties" not attack religion and bolster evolutionism in Georgia schools. I think that a disclaimer on books is fine and can save alot of time in the classroom instead of all kind of arguments about this and that it just says this stuff isnt completely fact and you have to make this your belief it is just the way this book is written and I think that is fine, I don't see how it violates seperation of church and state in any way. There are other religions than Christianity that believe in a creationist view. Exscuse my rant.
I agree, this suit is plainly retarded, and sadly shows how pitiful we as Americans have become, so damn enchanted with law suits. And I, living in California, am in the capital of lawsuits.
A disclaimer on books is NOT fine. It's not a "Science and Religion" class, is it? Evolution is fact, btw.
