What do you think of Eidur Gudjohnsen?

Has developed into an excellent supporting striker.
Good shot, quite good in the air, great vision and unselfish in the box.
Seems to have found that knack for being in the right place at the right time for that little last pass to let in the other man to shoot.

Only draw back this season was a seeming lack of ability to get the ball past the keeper when put through in a one on one situation.

Well worth keeping in the squad, imho.

 

he'a an excellent forward with a well rounded game - manU would kill to have him... which im sure adds to his rep at the bridge

 

Eh, there are quite a few others I would prefer. That said, Eidur is a class act & great player. He could wind up being Chelsea's Solskjaer in a few years.

Funny you live in Hong Kong, Gudjohnsen,,, you don't happen to know Dan Manning, Maude Sweeney or Katie (something-or-other - can't remember her surname), do you?

 

Eidur is a very good player, but has a maddening tendency to play lazy, and prefer cute passes to more forward playing. It was quite obvious in Monaco when I was practically screaming at my TV because he was practically sleepwalking. The stupid red against Arsenal didn't endear him to me either.
But he has developed into a very good support player, far more than Mutu.

 

I thin that he is a very good player. He had a pretty consistant year and had big goals aganist Arsenal. He would be my first choice CFC striker from this year.
