I just heard this on PTI...I hope Tiger's country club ass stays with the "physical" game of golf....what a joke and what an example of the ugly American. Yet another reason for me to hate that guy.

So this is true? A GOLFER just stated that soccer isn't physical enough? It's so silly an assertion coming from a golfer (and I golf) that it really isn't worth dedicating any more time to.

Our skin can't be so thin that a golfer can upset us.

yea my friend pissed me off last year because his cell phone keep wringing so i hit him in the shin with my driver :D

i play golf all the time and can't say its ever gotten more physical then any soccer game i've ever played, its a very, very hard game to play but its not anywhere near a contact sport either

Me getting hit in the leg with a golf ball (that my dad whacked off target and i still have a semi lump in my leg) was less painful than breaking my nose, hip and ankle.

At least Jeff gets whacked around in the car pretty good.
I am extremely disappointed with Mr. Woods.
I wonder if someone at Nike has the cojones to explain to Eldrick that they market a lot more soccer gear worldwide than they do golf gear?

I would like to take his club and whack him betweent the legs and then say,""damn! I had no idea golf could be so physical! I should've been playing this a long time ago. It was fun kicking people in the nuts in soccer, but clubbing nuts... now THERE is a sport!"

Haha Tiger Woods must be drunk. Im guessing he just got through watching Happy Gilmore when he made this statment. I know football players who will admit soccer is more pyhsical for the pure fact that its non stop running and a lot of contact with no pads but shin gaurds

He can't be THAT ignorant about soccer, can he?

    No.
His statement is SO ludicrous that I believe there's an ulterior motive involved here.

Like to see Tiger try and play in my local soccer league. He wouldn't last 5 mins a soft boy like him. I'm sure there would be plenty of volunteers to help ram those badly chosen words back down his throat.

I actually heard that Tiger's remarks were getting some airplay on espn radio.

I do not know if the radio guy (sports bash) was going to agree or criticize (sp) but I was kind of hoping this would just go away.

Stupid remarks though, from someone who should know better. Especially after B. Mcbride's bloody face was splashed all over the newspapers and sportscenter.

Golf is not even a sport.

    Its on par with bowling.

    Great skill zero athleticism.

    Tiger needs an ass kicking.
