USA, Uruguay, Ghana one of these teams will be in the Semi Finals so there is a chance for them to win the World Cup

Normally I'd root for Argentina but I hate Maradona for political reasons. I support the USA but the furthest I can see them going is quarters maybe semis if they get lucky. Therefore I hope the Dutch win it.

You look at him and can see that it means so much to him, it's like looking at a kid watching the World Cup when there is still that element of magic. I wouldn't mind seeing Don Fabio do well either, but I don't think it's too possible.

same here, as they will probably win in 2014, and will pull way ahead of us.

USA. If not them, then any team that has not won the WC previously, with some exceptions (i.e., no South Korea).

I don't think this is Brazil's year for the people who are worried about them winning. Dunga has them playing a technical system that Brazilian internationals aren't accustomed to. I see them getting knocked out in the quarters. If they make the final they won't win it

US won't win it, so I would have to say Holland. The Dutch have been good for football and given us a lot of great moments. They've had their hearts broken so many times on PKs and in the 70s they deserved to win a cup.

I wouldn't mind at all if Holland wins. I could stomach England winning, but barely. Their fans would be insufferable.

Just say no to Brazil, Germany, or Argentina.

Definitely none of those in the following order:

    1. Brazil
    2. S. Korea
    3. Germany
    4. Spain
    5. England

Anyone other than the above is OK

I like Argentina but I always go for UEFA unless it's England so I'm going with Spain.

I will support in no particular order:

Argentina - The largest Italian city is Buenos Aires after all... and for sake of Violas Daniel Bertoni, Daniel Passarella, Ramon Diaz, Gabriel Batistuta, etc...

USA - Well, no explanation needed I hope, but they have zero chance to go all the way.

Uruguay - They could be the story. They have 2 stars on their shirt, they have a relatively easy road to the semis and they play a very disciplined style.

I will not be happy if England, Spain or the Dutch win as the WC Winners club doesn't need new faces. (I never considered England a true WC winner... won at home and how...) and I don't want the Germans to get their 4th star especially since they are fielding a team with so many non-Germans.

I will be physically upset if Brazil wins.

    Tsk, I hate this attitude.

For me it's Uruguay. I think it'd be a great story, former giant returns to glory etc. And maybe England, purely because I live here and it'd be a great party :p though lets be honest, they'd never shut up about it..

The Yanks. After they get knocked out then Argentina due to their several players of Italian descent.

My sentiments exactly. Would love to see D10S take another cup home to Buenos Aires. I also like Uruguay and Japan -- Japan really surprised me in that game vs. Denmark.

And though I am American I hope to see Ghana beat the US as they did in 2006. I think a small nation passionate about the sport deserves a win much more than the US does, since most Americans don't care and the ones that jump on the bandwagon complain about the offsides rule and sh.t like that.
