Word on the street is that former DC United player Mike Ammann is looking for a college job. He was forced to retire because of injuries this year. He has been involved at Manhattan College as assistant coach and at various levels of coaching as well. Those close to him say he has all the tools of being very successful at the college level. My question is "What schools will be looking to hire someone with his experience?"
He ought to send his resume to Lee Fowler, the AD at NC State. If Mr. Fowler realizes there is someone out there who is more qualified - and eager - than the current bozo he has running his soccer team, he might be more prone to pull the trigger and fire Tarantini. Unless he is willing to be an assistant first - and I imagine many ADs would want him to - he'll likely have to wait until January and see what positions open up before we know where he'll land. That said, I think it's great he wants to coach at the college level and he'll be a great addition to the college coaching fraternity.
