Is the Disturbed CD any good? I hear it's different than the first one.

I've only heard the first 3 tracks so far but yeah, I like it a lot...I like "Prayer" a ton, that's why I bought the CD

I buy CDs if there's a freebie attached or a non-mainstream artist that could really use the sales.

My last two were: Ben Folds Live and Power In Numbers by Jurassic 5, both with bonus DVDs.

I'm thinking Neko Case or The Roots' new one for my next purchase.

    I got a pretty good recording of Mahler's 5th for $3.

Not a bad deal for 75+ minutes of music.

    Interesting....are you from Alkmaar ?

Just curious - I don't come across too many fans of AZ.

BTW, last CD I bought was Sleater-Kinney's first album.
    Really awesome.

Red Hot and Riot - a tribute to Fela Kuti to raise money for AIDS research.

    DAMN GOOD ALBUM!!!!

I also got Tre Hardson (formerly Slim Kid Tre from the Pharcyde) "Liberation" which is OK, and downloaded Wilco's "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot" which I'm listening to now.

haha..nope. i actually have never been close to alkmaar...but i saw one of theri games once about 2 years ago on FSW. I think they were playing Feyenoord...but it was very very very snowy outside...and i noticed that their stadium was so small taht you could see the trees over the roof on TV... To add to that...tehy were playing in the snow, and beating feyenoord.

The supporters i dont think ever stopped making noise, and the players even stamped out foot tracks on the side of he field that said "AZ"

Ive been a fan ever scince.

    I bought five yesterday.

Pavement - Slanted & Enchanted: Luxe & Deluxe
Apples in Stereo - Velocity of Sound
    St. Germain - Tourist
    DJ Krush & Toshinori Kondo - Ki-Oku
Bright Eyes - Lifted or The Story is in the Soil, Keep Your Ear to the Ground

The only one I am mildly disappointed in is the Apples CD. Each song sounds very similar to each other. Too much power pop.

Nothing since the new Sigur Ros came out on the 29th.

I just found out that Godspeed You Black Emperor! will be releasing a new album on the 11th, actually it was released in Europe on Monday, not in North America until the 11th. That will likely be my next purchase.

It's awesome, it's more melodic, lyrics more poignant, but still plenty heavy.
    Good stuff.

It's a very good mellow CD.
