We need to crash and burn this WC for there to be a catalyst for change. We truly need a change from the top down. I said this before, I truly feel bad for our players who pour their heart out. Get Chung monkey the ******** out of KFA, and the rest of the incompetent cronies.
LFG Cabo Verde. What a goal. Let's eliminate Uruguay. This can happen to us against South Africa. They can get lucky and score a wonder goal out of nowhere
pretty nervous about this s africa game mexico beating czech isn’t even guaranteed if mexico play the way they have been
https://youtube.com/shorts/ObEOSA_KaA8?is=C2_UaMtM816nKtnv supposedly helps or maybe ur supposed to show this to opponents before matches
i really was looking forward to seeing Mitoma in this tournament. the dude wrote a thesis in college on dribbling lol
Tottenham: “South Korea are not using Son Heung-min right Son Heung-min is not the same player he was five years ago or even three, which is why Tottenham Hotspur let him walk with his head held high after the 2024/25 season's Europa League triumph. He does not even score many goals in MLS these days. But he does provide a constant threat, great linking play, and dangerous transitions off the wing on counters with plenty of assists. There is no doubt that Son is an asset and South Korea's best player, even at the age of 33. So it was heartbreaking to see how South Korea were utilizing and treating Son against Mexico. He can play as a No. 9, but he is by far better off the left wing, which is something Tottenham can definitely attest to, having watched him as a left winger compared to a striker during his time in North London. South Korea could get a lot more out of Son if they did not make him so isolated up top and trying to fend off three players in the middle, taking away his ability to dribble and cause danger or create chances on the break. And then subbing him off so early in the second half of a close game with the other team leading is just straight up insulting and borderline coaching malpractice.” Cha BK and ParkJs have been highly critical of Hong playing Son wrong
I love your optomism but who on this team comes close and can take his 33 yo reins right now ? Youre talking like he's a 40 yo Ronaldo. Park JS came out a day or two ago and said he's still very close to prime condition speed wise (not sure about explosive/burst aspect) A True 9 is clearly a constrictive restraining spot for him. His atletacism coming in and splitting defenses is what made him an elite goal scorer.
What's up with the personal attacks on Son? you mentally ok in the head? completely pathetic. he's the idol and heart of Korea and you're loser online typing complete garbage. He came on late during the Europa League Final because he was injured you absolute muppet. He didn't play full time in any matches before that final. He was on fire in the MLS just the season before but is obviously having not the best of spells. No need for the personal comments. it's not like Korea has a lot of alternatives.
lol i looked at @beejayblanco's history and over half of his posts are downright negative or insulting Son. he spent like 10 posts insulting Son on the Czech match thread. This goes back to Qatar world cup where he also did this. holy shit what a loser - report him already please.
Too bad you guys got it right in here. They did fcking suck. And Hong is a bad coach. South africa often looked like a Division 4 team. And Korea managed to fkc it up. In an easy group. With a great draw for the finals. You cant make this shite up. Im not going to hate on Son but this WC also show has fast players get worse in shit Leagues like Mls and Saudi.
Both Korea as a team. And Son their biggest star has failed. So what should we call it? Will Son be remember for some good runs. Or some missed shots? No. You dont need to defend him because he is a god in Korea either. They can also fail. I feel you are sucarcoating this.
My opinion is that the players that go to those leagues get worse. And I stand by it. Or are you going to defend MLS also? Of course its nice that they may get another chance even if the chances for a terrible game is big again. Korean fans cant criticise the national team? I dont get it. And i did not post to you. I post my general opinion. You are the one replying.
Son is 33. Not 40. Should not have fallen so fast already. Once again believe his move to the shit league destroyed him. Only my opinion. Im not the only one in here being dissapointed in Son am i? I always liked him. Doesnt free him from critisism. I tried being positive about Koreas chances also from the start while many in here have been negative a long time. Also do we always need hours of research or reasons to say he did not deliver? Interesting to know yes. But not needed to see.
I feel like im done with this conversation but you dont think he had been better with a season in Europe than mls? Its all about age? And also you think he has been good ? The team has been good? We can have opinions without 3 pages of analysis .
LMP - don’t you think you’re rearranging the deck chairs on a sinking Titanic? i can appreciate you’r perspective but i don’t really see how going after poster opinion is really going to accomplish much even if your aim is to inform lol We lost to a 60th ranked team full of part timers after having advancement served on a silver platter. it was ours for the taking and we F’d it all up. Son didn’t even cry yesterday which to me is almost a red flag. that’s how his last performance on the NT is going to look like?? if someone has a photo of him just after the final whistle he looked like he just walked out of a WWI trench there were generous splashes of pure humiliation on that look too. that was EASILY the worst i’ve ever felt following the NT point blank end of thread
I agree that Son has not performed well in the WC, but in this group stage South Korea in my opinion didn't seem to manage Son's play correctly. Like someone said above he is 33 years old and not 40 years old. He should be able to play a full contest, especially with these two hydration breaks added into the games. I don't want to discount what South Africa did in the last game as they played extremely well and pretty much shut down and had an answer for everything that South Korea attempted to do. I don't however think the complete fail of South Korea is all on Son. Yes, he is there best player and should step up and he didn't. I don't think Son is washed up at 33 years old and I do think as someone else stated above that leaving for America to the MLS League was a huge mistake for him, but that is something that is long behind him now.
i just felt bad for him the most elite player Korea has ever produced and his NT made S Africa look like Brazil. we couldn’t even threaten a 60 rank FIFA the only way i might feel better about this is if S Africa wins the WC. the fact everyone played like utter shit for a game like this from the start reflects really ooorly on coaching
