2007 Trek 1500 Road Bike This is actually my main ride as I have an old Schwinn hybrid as well. The bike above will be hitting just under 2000 miles today when I head out for my weekly 30 mile ride. So far, I love it! However, I need to find something a bit better suited for those Minnesota winter months.
Re: My ride! You want bike? I've got bikes. Wife would prefer her spot in the garage back but what are you gonna do. These are my two Bianchi's which I bought off a builder on bike forums and what nice rides they are. Aside from the Spinergy wheels, both are full Campy Centaur grupo with the 928 being carbon and the Alloro being aluminium. When I race these are the bikes I go with. Alloro for crits and 928 for centuries. This is my Trek Pilot which sees the most mileage of all my bikes combined. I use her for commuting and training due to the weight and it's more upright riding position. I've since changed the stem to a Ritchey which allows me to stretch out a bit more.
Re: My ride! But wait theres more! My very first mountain bike and the only one I've kept over the years. Genesis frames on Gary Fishers are amazing. This is without a doubt the fastest and most comfortable fat-tire I've ever owned. Hard-tail all the way! My biggest investment to date and a bike I'll likely end up hanging from the wall in my office. Tomassini 25th Anniversary lugged steel and full Campy grupo. Rarely ridden these days but a true keeper. Last but not least the good ol' Schwinn cruiser. The wife spends more time on this than I do but it was a great ride for getting around campus back in the day.
Re: My ride! First wife took the Jeep Wrangler that was supposed to be in that spot and never came back At least she didn't take my bikes
Re: My ride! I'm actually considering either selling or trading the two Bianchi's for the bike below which is a newer Tommasini Velocista. Tommy's are my dream bikes and take about three months from the time you order them to the time they arrive. One of my favorite things is that the paint jobs are all custom and I'll be able to get it in BOCA Jrs. colors!
Re: My ride! Here is the bike I bought a month ago. However, this isn't my bike. This guy changed the bars, seat and added lights and front brake. I have none of those. Same frame and color though. The factory black model looks like this: My bike is exactly the same as this one, except it is green like the one above.
Re: My ride! So my ride is nowhere near as cool as any of those. It's a Schwinn Super Sport. It works great for my commute, which is really the only thing I use it for.
Re: My ride! I prefer Bike Pimp Besides, pimpin' ain't easy. I used to have a few more but over the years compromises with wives has slightly lightened my load. I had even kept my first BMX bike which I got at 12 years old only to lend to my ex-wifes nephew to never see again. The tragedy that is love.
Re: My ride! Now, the question is, have you had more bikes or more wives? The cool thing, is that my first bike is up at our cabin. That thing is 34 years old, but still in pretty damn good shape.
Re: My ride! More bikes no doubt. They are cheaper to maintain, don't argue and they let you ride them as hard as you want without bitching. Most importantly they never complain about being fat
Re: My ride! This is my ride. She's a 1994 fully rigid Specialized Rockhopper that was given to me by one of my brothers this past May. I call her The USS Indianapolis. I named her that because she's all iron... and she keeps trying to kill me.
