    Wow, he said exactly what I posted earlier. Good for him- if he uses the season to improve in their areas, it may be the best move. Also, mentally- having the few months to prepare may indeed turn out to be the right move.

    This seems to be a young man with his head firmly screwed on. good on him.

    I think the article is wrong about him having to wait for the transfer window. He is not a pro and should be considered a free agent.

    My take is that he didn't find any offers much to his liking, from either Europe or MLS. During the winter break, he may become available for the MLS draft or for the Euro try-outs (not necessarily in that order) or both.

    I like the fact that he knows what aspects of his game he has to work on but do not see how they would be ignored in Europe, had he found himself there.

    I also think there's been a little recruitment from the UCLA coaching staff to keep Marv there for a minimum few more months. At 19, UCLA is not the worst place to be.
