i would rather just have a train or a different logo instead of DEX or DET.

I tried to make these as close to the original circular logo as possible with a modern updated take. To add anything else would take that away.

I like it, not bad - Detroit Express

And please...not Motor City FC or anything that doesn't have Detroit in it, that sounds cheesy and mickey mouse...MLS is moving in the direction of hardcore supporters not stadiums filled with soccer moms.

Stick to a strong urban civic name like Detroit. Success of the strongest supporters groups in MLS have a strong civic pride, Detroit is a great name, use it to market hardcore urban soccer supporters.

Detroit Express grows on you. And count me firmly in the camp of whatever name is eventually chosen, it HAS to include "Detroit".

I said I would make some kits to go along with my redesigned Detroit Express logo. It took some time, but I believe I got them right. I think you'll all like them.

Great work, thanks so much for taking the time! I love the Trevor Francis reference, too.

My preference would be to use the blue design for the primary colors and the orange for secondary, getting rid of the white entirely. I've developed an aversion to white kits primarily because they represent enforced conformity in this country.

I agree 100%. On the kits, I'd reverse it and say orange for home and blue for away. With those, you most likely wouldn't need a 3rd. Those are some classy renditions, though!

Just did some editing of my latest logo and kit work to fix some mistakes and to make them larger and sharper. Just scroll up to check them out.
