Just saw the highlights on FSW. I know he can be a little bit wild and take some crazy risks that must make Fergie's heart race, but all I can say is WOW!!! He has to deal with heckling fans and then gets his composure and stuffs the PK! DAMN...he is good. Later, Patrick
Yeah, i enjoyed that one. Oh actually you know what, i just thought of something. Wasn't there a game last season when there was a PK awarded against United, and Barthez was also standing at the side bar. Hilariously the kicker kicked the ball into the empty net, when the ref ordered the kick to be retaken. Now, I don't remember if he scored the rekick, but i *think* Barthez also saved that one. Can anyone correct me on that or remember which game it was? Thanks!
It was against Leiceister City and that's exactly what happened. In the end Barthez saved that kick as well -- I believe Muzzy Izzet was the taker.
Barthez is 1 cocky Son of *****, but he is great!!! He takes tons of crazy chances like moving waaaaay up to help generate O. I don't care if people say that he is getting old. He confidence scares strikers into believing that Barthez is just that good. Later, Patrick
