With it now being officialy confirmed by UEFA that Gilberto Silva has scored the fasted goal in "Champions League" football, just ahead of Del Piro against ManUre, Arsenal storm to a 4 - 0 victory. PSV, having won all 5 Dutch league games scoring 14, and conceding 1, now coached by GH (formerly of SOuth Korea), they are a good team. It's just that we were so much better. Freddie's goal with little space to bend the ball in was exceptional and TH14 is on fire. No goals conceded by DS1 and this team is REALLY looking good now. (Other impressive performances by Valencia and Real Madrid, but together with us, the winner will come from those three). Hopefully it will be us!!!
I was able to watch a good part of the match between Deportivo La Coruna and Milan. My god was that scary! Maybe someone who's been paying more attention to La Liga than I can clue me in, but is the same Depor team that's gave us fits last year? In any event, I think you have to include Milan as an early favorite, as they don't even have a healthy Schevchenko(sp?) back.
Yes. Virtually unchanged, except for the addition of Juanmi in goal, Jorge Andrade in defense, and Alberto Luque up front. Only Juanmi played on Tuesday, though.
Coruna is unchanged but I have never seen their defense with less conviction. If you watch the goals nearly every player is unmarked with two nearby defenders simply standing around. I believe it was more a case of Corunas poor play and less of Milans greatness.
Re: Re: "What a performance"! (against PSV) I would like to agree with you, but won't for the sake of my Milan loving best friend.
Re: Re: "What a performance"! (against PSV) Yes you have. This exact same type of pathetic performance against Bayer in Spain destroyed Arsenals chance last season, although they shot themselves in the foot anyway losing to Juventus. They were also awful away to Leverkusen losing 3-0. Betis also pissed on them 4-2 away a few weeks ago. They have done this before.
