I'm worried he wants to go to Toronto. There won't be an extension it looks like TFC will pay $400k for him.

Dunno. People are leaving Toronto in droves. After his taxes up north, can he live as well as here given current salary or a slight bump? I mean, taxes are what: 35%+ up there? And can you buy a 3,000 sqft home for under $250,000?

I now wait for the Canadian defenders to sort my statement out and verify accuracy. :D

I'm sure Toronto is enticing but I'm also sure he doesn't want to play for a team that can't score a goal and will probably be one of the worst teams in MLS history...no matter how good their fan support is our how many family members he has there.

I think the new aquisitions this week will do nothing but help DeRo's style of play, and I think his chances of seeing a better contract offer from Dynamo skyrocketed.

that punk Bretos said in the game against the Crapids, that if you looked at the 10 best goals in MLS history, at least three of them would be goals scored by DeRosario. So why not pay the man who has done so much for the league?? make him a DP.......dammit

    Count the money !!

    in the best MLS town
    Lalo,
    look at this :
    Mulrooney Base:220 000 Guaranteed 233 200 $
    DeRo Base 189 000 Guaranteed 189 000 $

it does not feel "right" to me , does it to you ?!

Nothing against Mulrooney. he asked for that money and got it. So if DeRo asks for a little more cash........he deseves it.

So no, that doesn't look fair to me either. how does a DB make more money than a OMC anyways??

I am sorry. Dero played great last week against the Fire. We just didn't get on the end of a goal. It happens, but to say that he needed to show up impliles that he hadn't shown up before and I completely disagree with that. Other than the Chicago game though, he played sub par for Dero.

we freed up about $60,000 after the Ngwenya-Moreno trade....i say that we give at least 40k to DeRo and then sign Daal with the 20k left over if he's worth it

No way in hell Daal signs for 20k. He could get more money playing in Coca Cola League 2 (English 4th division).

Same with DeRo. He wants $400k/year not 60k added onto his current salary.

Ching gets $200,000 and he was MLS Cup MVP....DeRo has to be happy with that he was no where to be seen in the cup instead for one long shot on goal ans as for Daal let him play in some real games and see what he's got

Dalglish could get more money in the lower leagues of England also but he chose to come here

I'm sure that he was offered a raise from his current contract. I'm sure he doesn't want just a $60,000 raise but that doesn't mean that the two sides aren't only $60,000 apart. Even if they are closer to $100,000 apart (which is more likely) having an extra $60,000 a year to offer goes a long way towards closing the gap.

So 7 days after DeRo gets a yellow card from Wynalda, he ends up getting the game ball:) Then, the Red Card goes to Roger Clemens :D Classic!

And like Clemens he will be making a cash grab after the 2008 season.
