From deep within Philadelphia I can occasionally pick up the FAN when all the stars are aligned properly. My question is, Does the FAN have any host who is CAPAPABLE of discussing soccer? If not, maybe they're just reluctant to put another body on the payroll.

Frank. Stop being a moron. They get MLS press releases, they know about the press conference.

They're reluctant to devote any attention or money to something that neither they nor the vast majority of their listeners care about. Nor should they.

But....but....without being a moron, he has nothing else in life!

Don't take away a man's dream, a dream to one day have Mike and the Mad Dog asking Alex Ferguson if he agrees with them that soccer would be alot better if every goal was worth 7 points.

"If Real Madrid is so great, why don't they play baseball???? Answer me THAT!"
"That's a good point, Mike, good point."

The Mike and the Mad Dog impressions on these boards have been some of the funniest stuff that I've ever read on these boards.

"I've been waiting FOURTY FIVE YEARS FOR THE GIANTS TO WIN A WORLD SERIES!!! FOURTY FIVE YEARS!!! And the CHICAGO FIRE GO OUT AND WIN THREE CHAMPIONSHIPS IN 8 years of existence!!! FOURTY FIVE FREAKING YEARS!!! I MEAN Cooooooooome ooooonnn!!!"

"Well Dawg Chicago really went out there and took it to San Jose. I didn't think they would do it... I had them as a Nil Nil draw losing in PKs but they did it and there ya go."

"I'll tell ya someing Mike... dat Beasley Damarcus kid is GOOD! Da Metros will definately be going after him in the off season."

People would probably have more respect for you if you learned how to speak English properly. Honestly.

by the way my English was good enough to spend 4 years in the USAF

just got this in the mail,

please don't quit on what you doing with WFAN and more

    We meet everywhere then!

I have noticed that you, like me, also give some little extra work and inform people on many forums about Portugal...

I would like to ask a favour of you man.

Only if you have the time or if you feel like to, could you also update a small Portuguese Secrion in another forum?

Nothing crazy... just a cut and paste from the league results you give to all these forums and answer a question if one comes up?

Think about it and tell me man .

Its a Greek Forum, but Greeks are all ove rthe world so it has something like an international nature somehow.

If you decide you can (if you dont, dont worry... totally understandeble and respected... ) do let me know. Give me the username you are going to use (if different from "Franc Cunha" ) so I can allow you to post on "unmoderated mode...

    Here are the links

    http://clubs.phantis.com/sports

and its Portuguese Section is this:

    http://clubs.phantis.com/sports/index.php?showforum=25

    Thank you man

All I see is everybody complaining about NYR Metros, Frank, Red Card, etc. These guys are not the problem, WFAN and other stations are the problem. We all should stop picking between ourselves and do something about it , by sticking together. I blame the league and in this case the Metrostars marketing group, for not having commercials about the games, give away a few tickets each week to the fans, and donate some team uniforms for radio auctions, give aways etc.

Good for you! I wonder what the military service records are of those who criticize your English.
