We're now officially in the "Where are they now?" section of the Bigsoccer MLS boards... :(

    PS: MLS sucks!

It's the proper section considering that the team currently does not exist.

Consider it more like being "relegated". You guys will get an expansion team soon and more importantly be promoted back to the "MLS: Teams" forum on BigSoccer.com . . .AKA "The Show".;)

    *)^&*+}%!%$*%^!

That's what you get for being the most successful team of the "real" season in Majorly Lame Soccer despite having your star player yanked - you get (never mind relegation) liquidated! Another reason why MLS has no credibility as a league with most real fans of the beautiful game.

Still plenty of soccer in paradise, served up the way we, of the enlightened Bay Area, like it: people's soccer and not fascist exploitation.

Actually, the BS mods were kind of nice in that we actually have our own link under MLS Expansion, Former, and Stadiums. It's "Specific Cities" and "San Jose Earthquakes". IOW we are not just "San Jose" (w/o Earthquakes) in "Specific Cities". Since this has been one of the most active of all MLS forums, I think that's deserved. Hopefully it will stay active.

    We Suck! MLS Rules!

    Can I shoot myself now?

Yeah, here we are, the most wonderful, incandescent, good-looking fans in the league, and they waste our team. I don't think MLS is coming back to San Jose, but I'll continue to work for the cause.

    Go Timbers!

Why couldn't they wait until March. We are still using these boards to organize. Please PM the super-moderator to get a month or two extension.

Just keep talking Quakes and Bay Area soccer. You don't need an MLS franchise to be major league fans.

I guess now that we're lumped in with the "has-been", "Wanna-bes" and "Never-will-bes" we don't rate sufficient storage space on the sacred PigSucker hard drive?

    What?! Are they gone???!

Kind of a rotten and stupid thing to do for those suckers...uh, people like me who pay to peruse these boards.

    Is BigSoccer subsidized by AEG?

In many ways BS is sucking on the same level that AEG/MLS and the city of SJ is. Nevermind, I take that back. While they are sucking on some level, there is no comparison to the grand suckiness of the idiots I mentioned above.

*sigh* Just returned from Michigan. Reality bites.

Your threads are all still there. Perhaps your settings changed. On main SJ board you can look back an entire year, just look down at the bottom left corner where they have the "Display Options" and you can select whatever time period you would care to look at.

I believe the true soccer term is "relegated" not demoted. Oh well not that any of the teams I support have never been relegated!!

Relegated? Well then BigSoccer is REALLY confused if they're relegating the team with the BEST regular season in ALL of MLS in 2005.

    Yes, you are absolutely correct.

Bigsoccer.com should keep the Earthquake board in the main MLS sector because your club had the best regular season record in 2005. Phenomenal logic.

Who cares if your club won't be playing a single match in 2006?

No big deal that all your ex-players are playing for a club in.. where was that, again.. Texas?

Throw in the fact that your fans have become the most whiny bunch in all of MLS, pardon me, you aren't part of MLS..

And add in that your fans blamed BS for "losing your threads", when in actuality they were there the entire time. The term's called 'Darwinism' and it should be kicking in with your lot, any time now.

I think both BS and MLS have done the entire soccer world a favor by giving your club to Houston and relegating this place to the expansion lot. Had it been up to me, I'd have just pushed the big old 'delete' key and said "good riddance" to the entire board.

So, this change happened over the last couple of days. Sorry if it took anyone by surprise -- it really shouldn't, because San Jose no longer has a team in MLS, so our forum got moved to the "Former" section. If this doesn't make sense to any of you, you may want to have your perception adjusted to align more closely with reality.

This was the request of the current mods (myself, BlueMeanie, and spejic) -- it should reduce the number of non-SJ fans who come here to laugh at us and our ridiculous conspiracy theories, but it won't eliminate them.

Due to the way BigSoccer is structured, we inherited a couple of new mods, BhoysFC1995 and CityIceMan -- they are the mods of the parent forum so they also have mod power over the SJ forum. So be nice.
