Wes' role now seems to be "more traditional overlapping RB". Since moving to that spot, he's racked up 2 interceptions, by my count.
surprised not to see Wes' name on the distance list, but David has REALLY been putting in a shift off-the-ball in addition to finishing when called upon.
starts today...kickoff at 2:45pm EST and being broadcast for free online at Pluto TV: Watch Golazo Network: Live TV Channel for Free | Pluto TV
Juve waste so many chances and then find themselves in slogs with teams they should easily beat. Happening again. Weston has been fine, nobody has really stood out for Juve.
cags have 11 behind the ball now. don't think Juve has the finishing ability to get one. This has 0-0 written all over it. Miserable night in the south Mediterranean as well, driving rain.
yep, think is the first time I have come across Pluto TV, do they have games online for free every weekend?
Yeah, I hate that mixed thread. Forgot we weren't supposed to post in the game thread. Ah well, back to Reddit.
Wes with a delightful bit of skill hemmed in on the touch line. Flicks it up to himself to escape and plays a perfect ball down the wing to Yildiz. The cross in can’t quite connect, but in the ensuing scramble the ball finds David who takes a nice touch and finish. McKennie not directly involved in the goal but definitely created the spark of the opportunity. 1-0 Juve. And McKennie joins in the five man planned celebration (teacup?) with David, Thuram,Yildiz, and one other I didn’t catch. For those wondering, LOL. As I’m typing, Napoli clears one off the line. Juve putting on the pressure.
Napoli with a bad giveaway near the box. Juve can't get a good shot off, but Napoli look pretty off balanced in the early goings.
Instead of giving Juve a free kick just inches outside the box, ref plays "advantage" to bail Napoli out. Weak. Was meant to be a 4 man. Wes clearly not invited.
Wes is really playing high up on what is often a 3 man attacking line. Tries a cute one-touch, but it's to soft.
McKennie nominally on the right, but popping up everywhere. I think he’s doing his best work going forward in the center/left, as he seems to do a good job of drawing defenders away from Yildiz, giving him space.
Wes out wide, doesn't do a lot with the ball, gets called for a foul, but it's kinda not legal for the napoli player to be on all fours over the ball like that... but I digress.
Big game for Juve, of course. If they get all 3 here they stay in the race for a top 4 slot. They'd end up 1 pt off #3 Napoli, altho Roma could jump both of them. In 6th - Como, come? (Man I had some fun in that little town many years ago...)
