Wes starting vs Cremonese. Can't remember the last time I've seen a ref actually bring back a kick-off for a false start
Goal Juve! From a very nicely spotted FK, Cremonese failed to clear the ball, Miretti volleyed, and hit the side of Bremer's head, which deflects the ball into the net. FWIW, Bremer knew nothing about it. Eyes completely closed, and thankfully he was in an on-side position.
Now David!!! He's found his form! Juve fell apart defensively for a second, but managed to recover the ball and started a lightning fast counter, with the Canadian at the end of it 2-0 Juve.
Cremonese win a PK! Cross came from the right side, Wes was defending on the left. Wes likely would've blocked the potential shot, but instead, Kalulu (I think) slid in and only found the attacker's leg. EDIT: Locatelli is actually the player in trouble. VAR has called the ref over, possibly for a potential RC review EDIT 2: uhhhh... no PK is the decision, followed by a RC to someone on Cremonese's bench... Juve just got away with one, IMO.
Ok, I may hev jinxed it. MOre goals to come, but one of those may be from Cremonese. Penalty foul by Juve, with a possible red card to follow
Lol, that's a wild VAR decision. I don't think there was enough to actually overturn the on-field decision from the ref given the contact from Locatelli's trailing foot, but here we are...
In the previous VAR review, the Cremonese manager was given a Red card and sent away. Does Serie A lead the top 5 leagues in number of managers red carded per season? It has to be right up there at the top
Wes is working hard, keeps making thankless runs into the box without getting a pass his way, then has to get back quickly.
Now it's a PK to Juve for a handball! This one might be worth a VAR review as well... EDIT: The defender slid in, got the ball with his foot, and the block ricocheted into the defender's hand. VAR check is over, and the PK stands. Harsh for Cremonese
Juve has been better but damn Cremonese has been having bad luck. Edit: and even when their keeper makes a great stop on the PK the ball ends in the back of the net.
I think the penalty call gets overturned in this scenario, and I think it should to be fair, but we shall see.
