It literally is whatever helps the team the most in that game. You could say he's a jack-of-all-trades but that wouldn't do him justice. He's actually really good at multiple positions and apparently has a good attitude about playing anywhere. I've seen him be somewhat of an offensive force even at left back. So tactics and injuries decide where and it's a new decision every game.

Unfortunately, he is disqualified for this key game due to yellow card accumulation. It’s understandable, but he also committed quite an unnecessary foul in the last game that got him banned

Cartman is calling and wants to remind all that he also has big bones. He wants to also be considered as Juve keeper.

Couldn't agree more. I think that puts a limit on his ceiling, but if he can maintain this level or even continue to grow, sign me up!

Juv do what they need to do, 1-0. Jump Como for now.

    Stop the count!

And, words I never want to have to say: Go Inter.

Juve pick up a big 3 points to move 2 points clear of Como into 4th. By no means was it easy, Atalanta were probably the better team over 90'. Como play inter tomorrow.

Juve is also 3 points back of Milan and are set to play each other in 2 weeks.

Juve on a heater. 13 points in 5 games. Def putting serious pressure on Como. Rooting for a big Inter win tmr to knock down their GD.

Como fall in what appeared to be a helluva game 3-4 to Inter. With Milan scuffling Juve somehow find themselves only 3 points out of 3rd, and two points up on Como for the last UCL spot.

I don't think you can emphasize enough how important this last month will be for Juve and Spalletti. A strong finish and UCL contention and you can say it was a solid if not up to their standards year. A poor finish and no UCL and frankly it's a disaster, Weston's fine play aside.

    gol della juve

La Juve passa ancora grazie a un cross della trequarti: McKennie pesca Thuram a centro area, che salta in mezzo a tre avversari e batte Ravaglia di testa.

Juve took the lead again thanks to a cross from the attacking midfielder McKennie who found Thuram in the center of the area.....he then leapt between three opponents and headed the ball past Ravaglia (for the goal).

That was certainly the highlight of his game... great cross. He played the first half in the double pivot and he was not good. He spent a lot of time directing his teammates around, making little space and sending some precarious passes around... reminded me of the Wes we saw at Leeds. Then he gets switched back to his more familiar RWB role and put in a quality remainder of the shift. I have often read on the US board that Wes should be considered as a holding mid but I don't agree. The guy needs space to operate and thus struggles a bit in crowded spaces.

He just doesn't read the game great centrally as a holding type. Night and day from what he plays on the counter or bombs down the wing. Made some questionable decisions on back passes, that said after the first 30 minutes he found the game and was excellent in the 2nd half I thought.

I'd imagine Juve are now something like -250 to qualify for UCL, which is remarkable given where they were at a month ago. Many fixtures have gone in their favor and they've caught fire (granted against a weak part of their schedule) at the right time. You don't control who you play and when and they've kept winning against weaker opponents -- something that had eluded them prior to this spring.

His heat map today is insane. You couldn't say with certainty what position he was playing by looking at it. I think it was as CE (Cover Everywhere)

Too bad Serie A doesn’t count assists in their goal scoring charts like MLS does…

You should check out the league some time if you believe something about it that hasn’t been true for 22 years.

The Serie A is all I follow all day long.

What I meant was how North American soccer gives two points for a goal and 1 for an assist in the goal scoring charts.

    You mean in MLS?

    Never realized it.

I thought they did count assists.
