Blessing in disguise they lost imo. Now they can focus on beating the Turk giants in UCL and finishing top 4 in League play.

They have little depth probably should have just rested Loca, Weston and others today. Oh well.

Mckennie plays both ways and creates danger. Of course he needs to put his chances away but no one does all the time and he was due for some misses after his hot streak. I think he still had a solid game. A "5" for the lowest on the team is ridiculous. I know I have a bias opinion of Wes but so do the Italian sports writers. They are just waiting for any reason to give him a bad review. He comes close to scoring twice and somehow gets dinged for it but Conceiçao's game review he gets his near misses as a positive. David doesn't do anything productive as the striker and gets a better rating.... I could go on but c'mon....

If it makes you feel any better their fan forums are all blasting Conceaicao. The media is unreliable, go figure.

It was kind of painful watching Conceaicao skip the pass to a wide open Thuram in order to go 1 v 2 against a keeper and defender

OTOH, it would’ve been an assist for Wes from a throw in which would’ve been cool

Wes needs to be the face for US Soccer this summer. He's the marketing star we need.

I agree. He has that “it” personality, much more than someone like Pulisic for example. This is not a knock on Puli, by the way. He is already the best USMNT player ever, and I could give two shits about how dynamic his personality is off the field if he brings it while he’s on the pitch.

We dont need marketing stars, we need wins in the knock-out stages. "Faces" take care of themselves.

Juve earn a point on a late Kululu goal. Weston a bit gimpy walking off. He might need to get some rest. Great shift from Weston again.

David and Openda are not UCL level strikers. It's the main flaw with Juve. They rely way too much on midfielders for goals.

I never knew he was this good of a player. Obviously most his coaches didnt either, at least initially. Put him behind a striker and let him go wherever he feels it.

Wes has matured really well in Italy, but I also think the Spalletti factor is adding that little extra quality to his game. Taking him completely off-leash seems to have been a very smart strategy in Wes management.

Yildiz has already won that award. The man-love for him borders on the ridiculous IMO. The announcers gush over him every game and unlike other players, when he makes a mistake they somehow rationalize and/or deflect in order to match their narrative. He is a tremendous young talent but he isn't at the top of the mountain yet.
