It’s not that he says he’ll do it. It’s that he actually goes out and does it.

He did have two nice assists!

Not sure what happened on that Napoli assist, maybe the bump he received threw him off

Italy: In Juventus’ 2-1 loss to Serie A leader Napoli, Weston McKennie assisted on Kenan Yildiz’s equalizer. But McKennie also assisted on Napoli’s gamewinner: by heading David Neres‘ cross to Rasmus Højlund for a close-range header.

Gazzetta dello Sport ratings (1=low; 10=high).
5.5 Weston McKennie (Juventus) started (at 1-2 at Napoli)
Yunus Musah (Atalanta) DNP (1-3 at Verona)
Benjamin Cremaschi (Parma) Monday at Pisa
Christian Pulisic (AC Milan) Monday at Torino

Gazzetta dello Sport on McKennie: “His brilliance lasts just a second: the assist for Kenan’s 1–1. Before and after that, little to nothing — and then the unlucky counter-assist at the end.”

Cabal was awful sunday, he should have been the flop of the ratings. I also think Locatelli should have been lower. A lot of reflection needs to be done by everyone at Juventus, we were dominated by an Elmas-McTominay double pivot.

Lloyd Kelly keeps getting caught so high up the field that I kept thinking Wes was told to play as part of the back-3, but I think its actually that Juve is doing a poor job of keeping the ball

Some of the shit Wes does is pure top quality.

And some of it is completely boneheaded.

When he's off he's off and when he's on he's top 3 American.

I have always thought of him (and Pulisic) as very good at off the ball positioning in attack. They find the right spaces very well.

But that goal was just skill. I can’t recall ever seeing him score one like that before.

UEFA Champions League: McKennie scores in Juventus win

    by Mike WoitallaDecember 10, 2025

Weston McKennie opened the scoring in Juventus’ 2-0 win over Cyprus’ Pafos on Matchday 6.
The American had also scored when Juventus picked up its first win, 3-2 over Bodø/Glimt, on Matchday 5.
    . Watch (): Weston McKennie’s stunning finish

Canadian Jonathan David scored the second for Juventus, which is now in 17th-place — with only goal difference separating it from the playoff-seed zone
Bayer Leverkusen 2-2 Newcastle. Malik Tillman‘s Bayer Leverkusen dropped from 17th to 20th place after a 2-2 tie with Newcastle. Tillman’s standout moment was an incisive pass that sent Patrik Schick on goal before the striker was fouled — first whistled as a penalty, then downgraded to a free kick after VAR review.

7 Weston McKennie (Juventus), 90 minutes, 1 goal (2-0 vs. Pafos)

    • Gazzetta dello Sport “Part wingback, part outside — as usual. And while drifting from spot to spot, he still finds the moment to fire a crucial shot in under the crossbar.”
