Per Bundesliga.com no mention of the injury. They do indicate Goretzka is in a race to be fit. Seems like either Wes or Bentaleb have a shot to start with the aforementioned Goretzka issue and Meyer playing in the middle of the park the last three matches...

George Quraishi said on a recent episode of The Total Soccer Show that the journalist Brian Blickenstaff will be writing a profile of McKennie for the next issue of Howler. If you needed any more reasons to subscribe!

Only watched the last 5min. He had a relentless sprint from player to player to cause a turnover and have another player shave some time off. He was uninvolved in the Wolfsburg goal. Seems to be unluckily on the pitch when things go wrong.
Two recent articles on him http://www.goal.com/en-us/news/risi...acting-like-a-star/1wszwtx6f0z7d1bqfswrgycac5 http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...l-future-usmnt-star-making-his-way-in-germany
You know you are talking to an American player when they reference our country as theirs..."After failing to qualify for the World Cup, there is the chance to reset a few things. Maybe I can profit from that, even though I am very sad that my country won't take part in the tournament in Russia.". Liked the second story as well, about him and how he felt about the USA debacle.
Sorry dude, you are going to have to do your own legwork. I believe Chandler reference USA as The USA. I think Fabian has done it as well.
OMG!!! Take away their passports!!! Now!!! Sorry dude, stupid post - you don't get to make claims and ask someone else to back them up. That said, I'm sure you can find one or more, but who cares? We can probably find posts of "real" Americans saying "USA" or Germericans saying "we" or "my country" too.
Never understood the comfort some find in an imaginary homogeneous view of society. How about if someone qualifies and is good enough to help the team, and they want to play for the US, we call it good. Labels are not for thinking folk.
Wes McKennie is the guy I'm most excited to see with the NT. A good DM is the basic building block for a good team.
Is McKennie a dual national? I thought he was born and raised in Texas and has no other current eligibility for any national team except the US. If I am wrong, I ask someone to enlighten me. thx.
Born in Texas, lived in Kaiserslautern, Germany, only from ages 6-9, then moved back to Texas to play for the FC Dallas academy. AFAIK, he is not a dual national. Maybe @BostonRed knows something I don't?
