With the new teams coming in next season, Chivas in CA, and SL in Utah.
The western conference needs to let one team go to the eastern conference, and reports are that the KC Wizards, will be that team.

This is great news for the LA Galaxy, Why?

With Landon Donovan leaving SJ, KC moving to the east, there is no longer a team that can really challenge the Galaxy, although ReAL SL looks like a possibility.

Yes it appears that as long as the Galaxy can play good consistently, and has strong talent, and determination, the Galaxy will be dominating the Western conference and playoffs.

The way the Galaxy have played the past two seasons, MLS could round out the western conference with Harbor College, Pierce College, Occidental, Chapman, and Biola and the Gs still wouldn't dominate.

I don't know - Sampson was a pretty decent COLLEGE coach - he did well against that level of competition. Maybe we would have a chance....

Yes, yes.......I think you may be onto something here. And if we are really lucky we will do so well against these teams that one of the local community colleges will take Steve off our hands.

Just promise to keep Sampson & Doug and the rest of the western conference teams will be very happy to take their chances.

    Hey, Terp Fan,

My daughter is at UMD so I have a rooting interest in the game Saturday. I assume you will be at Ludwig for the game. How do you fancy their chances against St. Johns? Hope the Terps win that one, so we will get to see them in Carson. Are you coming out for the Final 4?

BTW: Can we please have your coach?

It will be a very good game Saturday with two top five programs going at it. It's probably a coin flip game but the Terps are very hard to beat at home this time of year (8-0 over the past three seasons). I thought UMD dominated St. John's in the Final Four last year and again in the season opener but that's all out the window now. Both teams have improved since the beginning of the season but the Terps are still going to be too much for the Red Storm on Saturday....2-1 in a war.

I hope to make both the Combine and the Final Four but I have to work out a few things to make it happen.
