Jason Akermanis has been cut loose by the Western Bulldogs, effective immediately, as the AFL club has cited breaches of trust following several warnings to the player over the last several months.

Nonetheless, Akermanis' legacy -- provided that he won't get picked up by another AFL club for 2011, which is the likely case -- will show a brilliant career with three Premierships, a Brownlow Medal, several club best-and-fairest honors and over 300 games with a freakish ability tempered with moments of madness and a very outspoken nature.

How's the best way to remember his career? And was this the end that he deserved?
