So let me get this right.....

This guy is going to trot out in front of British football terraces with XL on his front and Fanni on his back?

    He's gonna get slaughtered.

(for overseas viewers, a fanny in the UK is different to the US, front bottom as opposed to back bottom:eek: )

I look forward to the first time I hear David Pleat exclaim "He's gone in hard on Fanni" :D

    Sorry I couldn't resist.

Or John Motson - "that's a tired looking Fanni, and no wonder with all those balls being pinged into the box"

"...the striker was coming inside of Fanni there."

How unfortunate can you get? Rod as your first name and Fanni as your surname!!

It'll be worse when they list him on match reports as...
    Fanni, Rod.

I think this move is written on our destiny scroll. Having a name like that means he will surely end up playing for us.

I bet the commentators make up a fancy pronunciation for his name like they did with that German called Kuntz (pronounced Koontz). Maybe it will be something like Far-nee with the emphasis on the nee part.

Also that other guy we were linked with called Appiah. Assuming that his name is pronounced uh-pie-uh I think we should nickname him Chariot.

    ...Chariots Appiah...?

    I'll get me coat again.:(
