As it did in the WC 02 qualifying, the inability of Guatemala to get three points off a weak US team at home comes back to bite them in the behind.

Well said. That half seed was very important to us and is very important to Concacaf on a whole. Maybe one of the top teams in the region will get displaced next time around.

Yes, I think that is a definate possibility. I wish for continued success in the development of soccer in T&T and the other carribean nations. I feel that the future of CONCACAF is bright as the region is continuing to improve and level up.

I think it was a conspiracy by Mexico, US, and Costa Rica. They all got together and decided Mexico should throw the game because they concacaf power houses were afraid Guatemala would show them up in Germany 2006. MLS and Brazil also had a hand in it because they knew Ruiz would win the golden boot, leading to Real Madrid signing him, thus replacing Ronaldo in the starting lineup.
