I would prefer not to see Charlotte in Round 1 of the playoffs. That turf field is bad ju-ju. And I think Charlotte will get its act together and be a tough out.
Another masterclass from Gazdag. Somebody arrest him on felony theft charges for that extension he got.
We really could use a striker and a CB and a Cm (same thing we said before the season). We are a top 5 team but closer to 5 then 1. Need some reinforcements badly.
Cheberko was slow in reaction to block it , credit to Biel he was quicker and from that close your keeper has to have great positioning and reactions and hope the shot is not well taken.
Is this the start of the summer slump? The team is toothless. It's not bad but it's absolutely horrible on offense. Defense is always exposed with long balls over the top.
It's not pure sunshine, there's some perspective mixed in. Am I pleased with this performance? Hell no, far from it. I hope I never have the pleasure of watching JRR jog around a soccer field again. I hope he lands in Austin or USL where he belongs. I hope that Issa already has a check written for a $7-10M center forward with multiple neck tattoos and a smokin' hot WAG. I hope Nancy writes a book about management theory during the offseason. But if none of that happens: Oh well. Sports is fun. I don't have the energy to get bent out of shape about a soccer team (especially one that may or may not have any ambition).
I mean unless it is starter quality and using the u22 spots and a DP spot it’s not worth adding. We need to get all these new guys on the same page and try to get top 4 seed. A few starter quality guys could make that easier. We have talent and with a win Wednesday we should stay tied for 3rd worst case. But this month could very well smack us in the face if not careful
Ive been wondering if Schulte has been dealing with an injury. Would explain his tenativeness coming out, something he fixed early in the year. Self preservation Wilfried Nancy said Schulte suffered an upper body injury while diving to make a stop during warmupsDidn't specify the side, but Nancy was gesturing the his left side, under his arm #Crew96— Brianna Mac Kay (@brimackay15) May 25, 2025
FWIW ... I don't think of you as part of any Sunshine Brigade. There were like 3 posters shouting down anyone who suggested that the Crew's early results were outproducing its form. I can straddle a foot in two camps pretty easily: Excited to enjoy another Summer of entertaing Crew Golden Era games at LDC Slightly anxious that maybe either the Haslams, Tall or Nancy think the current roster is close to good enough to make MLS Cup.
I thought Nagbe didn't do much tonight, and seemed slow. Defense was poor. Regarding getting beat over the top, during the match I was kind of hoping Nancy would move the back line back (not so high). Charlotte players diving and listening to their fans was a bit painful. As far as football stadiums go, I thought Bank of America is better than Nissan Stadium from when Nashville played there, also better than the Browns stadium. But not as nice as Atlanta. That said, I wasn't a huge fan of of the sightlines in Atlanta, nor the round videoboard up above.
