my guess is they probably hate it, regardless of the stats about % improvements and all that. it hasn't really change people's opinions of poor decisions by officials.
Since it’s the same incompetent officials presiding over VAR, should we really expect any different? I know it’s tough but it’s even tougher in rugby which has more health and safety rules and, yet, it largely gets it right. There is room for technology in football-- every other sport sesmt to use it quite effectively, (although the recent India-England series has tested that theory.) I think it must stay but requires an upgrade in quality which we need, VAR or not.
one of the biggest mistakes with VAR in the Prem is they brought it in to cover too many issues at once. there was no real settling in period - didn't give all involved enough time to gradually adapt to it, and get consensus on what works / what doesn't. next big mistake was the constant fukking ludicrous around with the handball rule. right now I have no bloody clue what the rule is, or how / when it will be applied. managers and players are baffled about it also. overall a fustercluck of the highest order.
start with this: If it’s a man U player handling the ball, then no penalty. If another player from another team does the same thing there is a good chance it will be a penalty.
Batshuayi scores in the 86th minute and the Ev drop some points to Palace. Let's see if Wolves can do us a solid with Worst Ham.
PSG leading Bayern 2-1 in a snowy (?) Munich at HT. Crystal Pala.....errr...Cheski are also leading Porto in Portugal 1-0 at the break.
I was certainly impressed by PSG's discipline near the end last night. They never previously possessed that type of heart and ruggedness.
Maybe the 'effect' he's having is teaching his team to flatter to deceive in a league title race. They're currently second behind Lille. LILLE FOR F*CKS SAKE!!!!!
true, but the PSG owners, players and fans only care about winning the CL at this point. kinda like Shitty.
Leeds, down to 10 men, are leading Shitty 1-0. 75 mins. and 10 seconds after I post that, Shitty score. edit. wow Leeds score in added time 2-1. Leeds United have had two shots. Manchester City have had 29. FT Leeds win.
Well done, Leeds! Dallas scored his second and wins it in injury time! Leipzig spends a lot of time falling down and rolling around.
