Some important updates for the reserves next season. Players expected to depart and find a new club includes; Enis Bytyqi, Sefa Kahraman, Melvyn Lorenzen, Mohamed Aidara, and Sambou Yatabare. Torben Rehfeldt has already agreed to join VfR Aalen.

The club hopes to strengthen the team by adding 3-5 external new players. Luca Zander, Jesper Verlaat, and Niklas Schmidt are expected to get closer to the pros.

While Lars Bünning, Mattis Daube, Isaiah Young, Jonah Osabutey, and Melvin Krol will be promoted and move up from the U19s.

Werder U17 finish the regular season with a 5-1 win over St. Pauli.

This record setting campaign includes 23 consecutive wins and 75 points total. Previous record on the U17 level was set by Schalke with 13 consecutive wins and 75 points.

Adrian Jusufi will be joining our U16 team next season. He was leading scorer of the C-Jun Landesliga with Meppen U15, scoring 24 goals in 19 games.

Jonah Osabutey highlights

 

Osabutey was indeed a wise signing. His scoring rate and impact has been impressive so far. This upcoming season's U19 squad should be much improved with the strong group of U17 players moving up the ranks.
