OK, a bit late, but it should be mentioned here that Tim Wiese signed a new contract last week until 2012! :)

And coach Thomas Schaaf also extended his contract (until 2010). :)

CA will show us soon, what he is capable of. I'm very sure of it! TS already said that CA will be built into the Bundesliga squad in the next weeks. Today he was already in the squad for the cup game against Duisburg.

He is a fantastic player and when he is totally fit and integrated into the team he will form a hell of a duo with Diego upfront! :)

I've got two questions for ya -

What's Werder's best lineup when all are healthy?

And do you wish you could find a better GK than Wiese, or do you all like him?

    -------------Wiese-------------
    Fritz--Mertesacker--Naldo--Tosic
    -----------Baumann------------
    ---Frings------------Borowski---
    ------------Diego--------------
    ----Almeida--------------------
    ------------------Sanogo------

Most people would have a similar lineup but they might put Wome as LB instead of Tosic. (Chose Tosic cos imo he's better by a mile)
As for the subs I am not really sure if I should include Carlos Alberto and Klasnic. Klasnic is just now recovering from a kidney operation. Whether he'll reach his old form I cannot be sure. I haven't seen Carlos Alberto playing at all ever since he joined this summer. Therefore, in my 'best lineup' I omit them for now.
That means Werder's best subs would be:

    Pasanen
    Andreasen
    Wome/Owomoyela
    Vranjes
    Jensen
    Rosenborg
    Hunt

Btw, we are happy with Wiese, but we're not really satisfied with our 2nd keeper Vander. So yes, we need a better deputy. Perhaps our 3rd GK Pellatz is a choice, but I don't really know.

I would actually say that Jensen is much better than Baumann, if consistent.
And Carlos Alberto will definitely be a boost in the future. Today he showed some nice approaches as we won 4-0 against KSC.
Wiese is one of the best goalkeepers in Germany, so there is no reason to discuss about him.
Wome is definitely stronger then Tosic, same can be said for Pasanen.

Andreassen also played strong in the last weeks.
At the start of the season i had the feeling, that he´s pissed,
because Werder didn´t let him leave to Schalke,
but after Schaaf gave him some playing time,
his moral increased and he showed good performances.

I'm just surprised he doesn't play more. I rate him more than Vranjes and Jensen.

He played the last couple of games as Frings' replacement.
But Jensen played ridicoulsy well last saturday.
Overall it´s good to know that with Jensen and Andreasen we have two very qualified back-ups in the midfield.

Very talented young player who is deployable in various positions. I rate him higher than Schindler or Bischoff, had a "high" at the beginning of the season and played very, very well. In that form he can even keep up with Hunt, Rosenberg or Almeida, although he is a totally different type of player.

With Harnik and Mosquera we have to young and very promising players for the future. Mosquera has even more potential than Harnik, but he collapsed during a training at Jena just before summer break. He did play outstanding there and I hope that he will "raise" to one of South Americas best goalgetters outside of Brasil and Argentina.

Borowski and Bremen talking about a new contract. Borowski:"Bremen is my first choice!"

Good news from our "injury front":

Aaron Hunt, who is injured since the start of the season preparation,
could do today an individual training without any problems.
He is confident to be back in the team after the winter break.

Yeah, he scored again for Portugal, correct?

He´s still young and I hope he´ll be able to become Portugals new Pauleta, although they have an absolutely different style of playing...

Yes, Hugos playing style reminds me a bit of Christian Vieri
(clearly not yet the level Vieri had at his best time, but Hugo is on a good way). :)

F*ck, our f*cking injury unluck got worse and worse.
Almeida got a rupture of a muscle fiber in Portugals qualifier against Armenia
and was subbed after 68 minutes. He will prolly miss
the matches against Cottbus, Real Madrid and Hamburg.

Adriano from Inter Milan was linked to Bremen by Tuttosport, sport1.de and others, but KA already told the "Syker Kreiszeitung" that this is just another senseless rumour.

Both are now suspended by Schaaf for the next match.

Sanogo's absence will be a blow :) - Carlos Alberto's prolly won't if we're to judge this by his season so far.
