And no point in talking about it now and getting all down about it. Anyone hear his comments this week about the Sam Alladyce bung thing. He said that it going through the media like this is the equivalent to "burning those who you beleive to be witches at the stake". The guys a ********ing literary genious. Its a shame that I am not.
Speaking of stakes and Arsenal without Wenger gives me the idea that we should keep Wenger as a figure head of a coach forever and ever...and if he ever perishes, we will keep him standing on the edge of the technical area pivoted by a stake! Let Wenger be the scare-crow and the opposition the crows! Its late...my mind is wandering!
I am sure Before Arsene Wenger goes to sleep he writes all the funny ones he can think of on a note pad and memerozie's them for the press conference
Arsène Wenger recalled last night how he listened to Tony Blair's Labour Party conference speech yesterday on the nature of change over the past decade. LOL .. Wenger's getting funnier by the day !!
"With 10 years my eye sight doesn't get better" And when he was asked if that meant he had'nt seen it (Gallas hand ball), he simply answered: "You sum it up very well." Hilarious! How many managers would poke fun at themselves??
I got one for the record books, I already added it to another thread but I thought I will add it here aswell...
http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2002390000-2006460090,00.html “Each year it’s like stepping on to a cruise liner without knowing the destination, though that can have its downsides. “For example, after three rounds of the Premiership this season I had to say to myself: ‘The boat is taking me towards relegation to the Championship!’
i love this little comment he made today about entertaining the fans.... "I have that kind of responsibility I had it at Highbury and now at the Emirates Stadium. "I respect the fact that 60,000 people turn up. It is a mass. "You have to respect that and give the people a reason to come to the game." not sure about there, but over here, a 'mass' is what they call it when people go to church. i love the way that wenger similarises watching football with going to mass. what makes me laugh is that he's got it spot on, my religion is football and come to think of it, watching football is like my sunday 'mass'.
I think you're reading too much into it. I think he meant "It is a mass of people" and misspoke. He isn't a native English speaker after all, and is bound to make little mistakes like that. I wouldn't be surprised if "mass of people" in French is the same as simply "mass"."
Did anybody catch the Pre CSKA press conference with AW? He tells everybody good afternoon and then says to one of the people "Good Morning to (name). I know you get up late". Thought that was pretty funny.
Arsenal boss Wenger has dig at Chelsea over Sheva handling Its on tribal football, but who cares, its funny and its a joke on the russian ..
"With Arsenal it is like when you are with a beautiful girl - with other girls you will always remember the beautiful one"
Was looking thru BBC's "Quotes & Videos of the year" ....couldn't get the Alan Hansen on MOTD to open, but did find this one on a similar page. On hearing Sol Campbell was poised to join Portsmouth... "I have no regrets, but it is a big suprise to me because he cancelled his contract to go abroad - Have you sold Portsmouth to a foreign country?.......No." .
"With the transfer window I am like somebody who is watching the rain outside from inside the window. They all hurry up out there and I am sitting here watching it with pleasure." - AW on the curent transfer window ..
"We didn't consider a move for Beckham. He has gone to the United States and, footballistically, it is a surprise." -Wenger http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=441250&CPID=8&clid=3&lid=2&title=Wenger+never+keen+on+Becks
"You should read our website," suggested Arsène Wenger when the question of Freddie Ljungberg's future was raised at his pre-match press conference.
"We didn't consider a move for Beckham. He has gone to the United States and, footballistically, it is a surprise."
