wasn't the color change supposed to reflect a change in attitude by the club? and wasn't hankinson a driving force in the switch away from green? well, good old tim sure has left his mark on the franchise - now the fans are black and blue from hitting their heads against the wall after each succesive goal against and every embarassing loss.

I think an important part of the "black and blue" philosophy is losing miserably while hacking the crap out of the rest of the league. It is a pleasant viewing experience for the fans. You know; The Beautiful Game".

Actually, the black and blue thing makes perfect sense when you realize that those colors reflect the condition of the spirit and trust of the fans.

I hope Counce puts as much effort into getting a new coach as he did that stupid marketing campaign. I wonder if we get a new GM, he will have the balls to ask the league to allow us to switch the colors back.

Hopefully the black and blue era is kind of a tall tale that we tell our grandchildren when they don't believe that the Rapids used to suck...

"Black and blue" disguises all the bruises the opposition is dealing upon the Rapids.

Has Counce been seen or heard from since the season began?

Is he pulling a Kim Jong Il?

Just enough to say that Hankinson's job is safe and, according to today's Denver Post, none of the players' jobs are.

If Counce is truly serious about keeping Hankinson regardless of the widely-recognized problems, then it's time for him to go to.
