Sergio Canales' ACL is totally gone (grade III). He was operated on in Madrid and they had to use a graft or perhaps a synthetic implant ( i really, really hope that wasn't the case) to repair the tendon. This could be a major career turning point for the lad.

Doesn't look good for him. 6 months is a conservative estimate. More likely 10 months i would think.

Hope he gets well soon. Coming back from major ACL repair isn't easy as he'll find out in the next months. What a sad turn of events. First he loses a year being benched and now another year being hurt. Going to impact his development quite a lot especially if they've used a synthetic implant. I hope we bring him back eventually. Deserves a second chance.

It is very unfortunate indeed for young Skywalker.

He looked like quite the prospect. I hope he can recover.

Young Skylwalker DID received a plastic implant after it was found that he had completely torn the ACL in his right knee :/

What rotten luck. Wishing him to get well soon and doesn't give up on making it here someday. I've heard of some players making it back from such such an injury, Hopefully Canales can make for one more story of such a comeback.

    Terrible news.

Only saving grace from this is that he is young. Time is on his side to take it easy and gradually get back to playing.

If he was 28/29/30 - his career would be finished, no doubt. Good that he is young.

I also had a grade III tear. Not fun at all. Good thing he didn't rely on pace.

Looking at that picture of him is depressing. That smile is for his fans to see. Can't imagine how he feels.

    Ha stupid English language. :D

This is a horrible injury but the resources he has at his disposal and his age make him as good of a candidate as any to bounce back and be able to play.

Anyways, I'll be very surprised if he features prominently in a Madrid shirt after this.

Aw man, this is news that gives you a disgusted feeling in your stomach. Best of luck to the young man, may he bounce back and recover soon.

What's so special about that pic? If it's meant to arouse a man/woman wouldn't one just go look at real porn instead of some pictures of almost nudity? That pic just seems... pathetic.

I thought the picture was a nice surprise all though I doubt Canales will ever be aware of its existence. By the way is that you or someone you know and are there more, very nice blouse and breast combo.

I recall some poster (Achillean?) bringing up Julián Ruiz. He had this article/blog post yesterday night which keeps with the un-PC correctness and I think you'll love. It's in Spanish, so please don't forget that it¡s very easy to translate using google or whatever.

    Long live the football heretics.
