Probably. It's so damned easy and I'm so damned lazy. Also love a La Louisiane. Then again, Burns Night was this week, so maybe a Bobby Burns. I'm always looking for opportunities to rationalize.
To make amends, I hereby commit myself to creating the world's first Hail Grimes! cocktail. Being that Grimes aligned himself more with Mussolini, perhaps I can work this into the recipe:
I for one..cough-cough...will look forward to all the coming abundance. COUGH-COUGH-COUGH! The repeal of that landmark determination, known as the endangerment finding, will upend most U.S. policies aimed at curbing climate change. The finding — which the EPA issued in 2009 — said that the global warming caused by greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide and methane endangers the health and welfare of current and future generations. “We are officially terminating the so called endangerment finding, a disastrous Obama era policy,” Trump said in a Thursday news conference. “This determination had no basis in fact — none whatsoever. And it had no basis in law. On the contrary over the generations, fossil fuels have saved millions of lives and lifted billions of people out of poverty all over the world.” If climate change law was a tower in the game Jenga, the endangerment finding would be a wooden block at the base. It underpinned the EPA’s ability to regulate greenhouse gas pollution from vehicles and power plants and to mandate that companies report their emissions. It required the federal government to take action on climate under the Clean Air Act. The White House and EPA have called the repeal "the largest deregulatory action in American history." https://www.nbcnews.com/science/cli...ndangerment-climate-change-finding-rcna258452
I remember going to LA in the 70’s and how absolutely horrible the smog was. Trump won’t be happy until every major city in the US has the air quality of Beijing.

Sorry I missed the discussion here! We're currently in Reno, but need to be back in the Bay by Friday, so we're trying to time our trip on the day with the least snow in the forecast. It looks like that's Wednesday, as of now. Friday would probably be better but we have a 10 AM flight out of SFO on Friday.
There will almost certainly be a reasonable but not snow-free travel window sometime on Wednesday or Thursday (probably Thursday), but you will need to be flexible. Some models see the snow ending on Wednesday. Some keep it going longer. It's too many days out to know for sure.
We often get long, multi-week dry spells in the winter up here. That's not an unusual occurrence. But this dry spell was a little longer than typical. It actually ended last week. We also tend to get our snow (and rain) in a few big, multi-day, multi-feet events. If the storms that are coming really play out the way that some (but not all) models are suggesting, it'll be a memorable series of storms -- though definitely not the biggest individual storm or multi-storm events I've been through. It also helps that we don't have that much snow on the ground. If you get 6 feet on top of 6 feet already on the ground, that's getting difficult. But 6 feet on top of 2 feet isn't as big deal.
In my current home, we’ve had snow from at least Xmas to early April except for this year. We had snow cover for probably a week. I only have had 1 chance to take the girls sledding at the nearby park. With it being mid-50s today and probably 60 before the storm approaches Wednesday, the snow might last a week. Things are looking increasingly grim between the Rockies and Sierra Nevadas below the Sawtooths/Wind River Mtns.
That's a lot of rain for Sandy Eggo! I was in Coronado last week and there was some rain on Tuesday and Wednesday. We couldn't sit outside at Spiro's. My lamb kabob was just not the same without the pigeons begging for pita or fries. But there was nowhere near half an inch of rain while we were down there. Anyways, up here in Reno today we had a smattering of snow. The deck outside has a bumpy frozen surface which would probably work for curling. We're still supposed to get 6-10 inches of snow overnight and tomorrow. We've pre-salted the driveway in case we need to go somewhere, but tomorrow is probably a good day to stay inside. Wednesday is still forecast to be the least amount of snow at Donner Pass so we will try to make our escape then.
