You predicted that the Revs would be in the MLS Cup match against--- LA.

    soccer doc....bite your tongue

Quakes vs Revs in the Final. I predicted that a young left footer would hit the game winner for the revs for a 1-0 victory.

(I was wrong about the young left footer) :)

Tiki, how is Shaun doing now? Did he find a team?

    hi Steve

Shaun is doing very well.........thanks so much for asking. He played as a guest player for the Quakes the other day against America from Mexico City.

He recorded an assist in the game. they tied 1-1

He has trained with San Jose and LA through out the season. Hopefully next year he will get picked up by a team looking for an attacking midfielder

    Re: hi Steve

And hopefully that team would be us (but I guess he's a free agent now)!

Winston Griffiths is a young lefty!

Can Shaun speak Scottish? Maybe with the new coaching staff and full recovery we could get ourselves a young, attacking left-footed mid? I know we have Griffiths but he is a work-in-progress in the passing and crossing department.

Best of luck regardless of how things turn out.

I can give him lessons if he wants. I'm also fluent in Geordie and Scouse. The most important thing to remember is the slight distinctions in the way the "F-word" is pronounced in each language. After all, that is the one word you'll need the most.

It might help if Shaun got accustomed to wearing a skirt in public. Hey ya gotta do what it takes to get the boss' attention.

Greet, fokkin greet! An ye cannae dispuute thet, Jemmy.

thanks for the kind words Jim!!

I think Shaun and SN got along very well. The one time I went to Boston to watch them train in the pre season, SN had nothing but nice things to say about Shaun. The Revs were just between a rock and a hard place at that time. They did not know how long it would have taken Shaun to recover from his injury. It was just really bad luck and bad timing for Shaun. I know he was really dissapointed but I think that just made him ever MORE determined to do well.

I have never watched Griffiths play, so I can not compare the two players

I was amazed to watch how crisp Shaun's passing and crossing was in the game against America. It was as if he had been playing the entire season. (fun to watch for a big brother) I actually tracked all of his passing in the game and amazingly enough, he was at 100% efficiency, he had 22 touches and completed all passes. Including the cross for the assist on the goal.

we can only wait and see if the Revs will be interested in him in the off season.....I know there is at least one team very interested in him right now.....

i hope to stay in touch with you all during the off season.its been a blast keeping up with the Revs through bigsoccer

    see you in the final!!!!!!

As a Boca fan you know what it means to be "strong enough to carry the shirt" for Boca. I'm hoping that with the current ex-Liverpool regime that the Revs shirt, too becomes a weighty proposition.

Love to see Shaun wearing one with that sweet left foot.

I thiink it's fair to say that the Revs are still taking applications for the 2003 left wing position, and possibly a central mid position. I hope Shaun is interested.

    thanks again Jim

I DO know what it means to wear a jersey with pride. It does not matter who the team is. I have been fortunate enough to have worn some prestigious jerseys in my day :)

Only time will tell if the Revs would be interested in having another look at Shaun. It would be well worth it

Good luck tonight against Chicago tonight!!

was the Quakes game on TV for you guys in New England last night??

I know this is a little "off the subject" but I have to get it off my chest. In all my years of playing soccer and watching the beautiful game, I have to say that last nights game ranked in the top three of the worst officiated games of my life time. Ranked third simply because I have seen Brian Hall make a mess of two games I played in many years ago.
