With the popularity of the show, I can't believe there's not a thread on the team. The most relevant one I could find is this
    https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/its-always-sunny-in-wrexham.2111713/#post-38981783
and it's in the Cups & Competitions section.

Anyway, Wrexham FC currently sits second in the National League. League winner gets promoted. Second place goes through a playoff for promotion.

    It's a cool show.

Didn't get to read the whole article since it's behind a pay wall, but I get the idea. Ryan Reynolds just made $300M in a recent business deal, and while that's nothing to sneeze at, it's not in the same league, so to speak, as those who own Premier League teams. Perhaps he and Rob M will get more backing. Or they can sell shares. If Wrexham gets to League 1, attracting other investors will unlikely be a problem.

    Go Wrexham!

Wrexham on the brink of getting promoted. One win in the last two games would do it.

    https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/64461732

Wrexham are one win away from securing the National League title and a return to the EFL after a hard-fought victory that sees Yeovil Town relegated.

Anthony Forde, James Jones and Paul Mullin's second-half goals mean the Dragons will seal promotion by beating Boreham Wood on Saturday.

Wrexham's 107 points breaks the National League and professional English single-season points record.......

Wrexham's revenue this season could match or exceed some Championship teams.

Wrexham’s U.S. tour: A chance to grow ‘mindblowing’ support and push turnover towards $26m
    By Richard Sutcliffe
    Jul 17, 2023

Wrexham’s turnover this season could hit £20million ($26m), a remarkable sum that would eclipse the income levels of even some established Championship clubs.

A lucrative summer of sponsorship deals with the likes of United Airlines and Stok Cold Brew Coffee partly explains why club insiders believe such a figure may well be achievable in their first season back in the EFL.

There is the upcoming second series of Welcome to Wrexham, the documentary that has put the club bought by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney on the global sporting map.

And then there is the two-week tour of the United States featuring Phil Parkinson and his players. Friendlies against Chelsea and Manchester United have sold out as supporters in North America finally get their chance to see Paul Mullin, Elliot Lee and co play live.

Wrexham’s Annual Revenue Jumps 75% As Losses Also Soar (sportico.com)

While revenue was up big, Wrexham posted a net loss of $6.4 million, 76% higher than the year before. Payroll was 71% higher to $6.9 million. The team said these losses would not be repeated and that it now generates enough income to cover operational costs.

Reynolds and McElhenney have funded the club out of their own pockets, and the amount owed to The R.R. McReynolds Company at the fiscal year-end was $11.3 million.
