I know more people in Columbus that are from Western PA than are natives of Columbus. It's like a Suburb over here. 92.5% of my friends are Steeler fans. 2.5% (br)clowns, 2.5% Bungals & 2.5% other. Unfortunately many have been brainwashed into OSU fans. Commonly we are all Crew fans.
the last time I was in Columbus I know that the NY Yankees had their AAA farm team located there and I also recall going to the harness races at Scioto Downs, I also recall that there was T-bred racing at a racetrack called Beulah Park but I think that it was closed the day we were in town...I really do have to get back out there.
AAA is now affiliated with Indians. They play in sweat new ballpark. It was voted best new park in america the same year new yankee stadium opened. Scioto Downs now also has casino. Beulah Park will be closing - they are moving to Youngstown I believe. This is a great little city with lots of new & cool attractions. But i do miss the history and ethnicity of Pittsburgh - Don't miss the traffic though.
