This Pato is awesome! Great goal against fiorentina....."un vero fenomeno"!

I wish he could play for Italy!

I guess now Pato has 5 goaks in 5 matches so that makes him #20 on the list of goal scorers.....he looks like he twisted his ankle pretty bad. I hope its not too serious.

It's actually 4 goals in 6 matches. It might be his last goal for a while since he was stretchered off with an ankle injury toward the end of the match. He looked to be in a lot of pain. It doesn't look good.

    Pato: eurogol & tears
    Il Milan vede la Champions

Ancelotti's team leaves Florence with a win thanks to a goal by the Brazilian who then injures his ankle and leaves the field on a stretcher: the rossoneri cintue their climb to the top half of the table with a -4 points from a qualifying place in the CL. A miracle save by Kalac in the 95th minute', each team hit the post in the 1st half
    [IMG]

    FIRENZE, 3 febbraio 2008
    - The foot of Pato, the coaching of Ancelotti with his substitutions that decide the match: and Milan wins 1-0 against Fiorentina, which was defined on the eve of the match as the winner of the 4th and deciding place for a place in the CL this place seeing where the other clubs are could mean a lot more in the future. The turnaround of the match comes when Ancelotti brings on Pato and Emerson.

PREMESSE - The match began with a minute of silence for the memory of Silvio Berlusconi's mother who passed away this morning, and of the memory of last year for the death of Police officer Filippo Raciti in Catania. On one end of the stadium there are loud whistles. Fiorentina plays without their regulars Donadel & Liverani, in Kuzmanovic and Jorgensen, with Vieri starting the match on the bench Milan, who can't count on the injured Gattuso and starts Brocchi in his place with Gilardino letting Pato stay on the bench.

    EQUILIBRIO
    - The first half is lively with each team hitting the post. Milan's chance comes from a clearing from Pasqual who just missed an own goal, the viola chance comes from a header of Mutu who takes time away from Oddo. After 10 minutes the rhythm disappears. Milan goes downhill after the 45', when Seedorf gets injured and seems less effective than usual. the viola instead start pressing and become more dangerous with a few chances.

Turnaround - Same song at the beginning of the 2nd half, and starts the same lineup as when the game started. When Fiorentina is in control of the match, applying precision pressure that gives way systematically at the limit of the box,Ancelotti intervenes. The coach takes off Seedorf and inserts Pato, then recalls Brocchi for Emerson moving Pirlo to the right. After a few minutes comes a long one from Pirlo who gets turned around by Kakà in the middle of the penalty box: Pato controls and isolates Frey with a left foot. Its the 0-1 that decide's the match.

INJURY - Fiorentina tries, but you can see that they lack energy and creativity the morale is instantly affected. The inserting of Vieri for Montolivo or Gobbi for Jorgensen did nothing to help matters. the final assault is generous but useless. The final emotions of the match is Pato's injury against the viola defender, it seems thar its an injury to the left ankle which makes him leave the pitch on a stretcher. A miracke from Kalac in the 50th muinute who saves the ball on the ground from a point blank header from Gamberini.

Serious strain mean at least 10 days to 2 weeks out. I just hope either Pippo or Ronaldo step up, well maybe Gila too.

    Crap!
    Not good !

The "bad eye" got to PATO !

Most likely Paloschi will play next week. Or if not, Gourcuff.., and Kaka as striker.
At least, i hope Pato, or Pippo return for the match against Arsenal.
Lets see tomorrow what happens, what the docs say.

This really blows. I really wanted to see Pato against Arsenal in the first leg. 4 goals in first 6 games is a very nice start. Could have have had 7 by now with a little better finishing.

Ronaldo agaisnt Arsenal would be pointless IMO. I'd rather see Pippo.

I don't know if Paloschi will be playing next week if no one is available.
    1) He's at the Viareggio Tournament at the moment
    2) I don't think Ancelotti wants to put that pressure on him

Most probably Kaka would be the striker.

I hope Pato is ok by the looks of it he had quite a serious sprain, he might have left a hole in the ground too. From experience that not only hurts like a bitch but takes quite a long time to heal. The good part is he's very young coupled with some good rehab he should be at it in a week/two weeks time. The guy is very nice to watch, a nice breath of fresh air to the Milan squad.
