My dear old Dad, would be so proud to see Saints back in the top division.

Alas, he passed away a few years back.

So, on his behalf, I would like to extend a warm welcome back, and hope that
there will be a few Saints fans in the U.S.A. that will join this forum....

....just so that I can pop by, for a visit, and a chat, once in a while.

All the very best for the season....

Oh, and.....I completely, and utterly hate, what Umbro
has done to your kit this year. Why not traditional Red & White Stripes???

Then again, I'm an old fart, that stood at The Dell, about a hundred years ago,
    with Dad.;)

As you can see, my religious persuasion, (despite Dad's heritage) is Arsenal,
but I hope you lot have a great season, and wish you all the best.

Great signings so far in this summer window (Jay Rodriguez, Steven Davis, Nathaniel Clyne, and Paulo Gazzaniga).

Still lookin' for more signings before the closing of the window. Matt Phillips, Gaston Ramirez, and Martin Olsson!!! However I think they still need at least 2 more CB's to guard against injuries and fatigue from constant though matches in the premier league and cup tournaments.

These are some of the guys I have on my CB wishlist for Southampton (no particular order):

    - Carlos Bocanegra (Rangers)
    - Michael Dawson (Tottenham)
    - Johan Djourou (Arsenal)
    - Kolo Toure (Manchester City)
    - Curtis Davies (Birmingham City)
    - Scott Dann (Blackburn Rovers)
    - Marcelo (PSV Eindhoven)
    - Pontus Jansson (Malmo FF)
    - Harry Maguire (Sheffield United)

I like this list! I know most of those CBs (mostly from Football Manager!), and the Saints have no CB depth currently.

Gaston would be awesome (potentially), Phillips or Olsson (maybe another bid for J. Lens from PSV)would be good too. Definitely need wingers and pace added to the current roster.

Saints confirm they have just signed Japanese international and Olympic team captain Maya Yoshida. He's a CB who played in the Eredivisie last season in the Netherlands. Hopefully he works out along with the rest of these signings, non of which have any PL experience.
