So this says he’s confirmed? Who knows what to believe these days. So dump this if its not true. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1831KFaCqg/?mibextid=wwXIfr
So a new era begins. It’s unknown to us really as what to expect but we’re an optimistic lot. Happy that there was no drama, in public that is! And we have time before the next season starts for the manager, the team and any newcomers to get to feel each other out. I’m still trying to block this last season from my mind. Ya no, King Kenny and Rogers were cut because of all the draws. Slot lost games when we were a couple of goals ahead DAMN! I said block from my mind.
Probably a done deal, but Romano and This Is Anfield notwithstanding, there’s nothing official yet from the usual sources, Guardian, BBC, etc., or indeed, Anfield itself.
I dunno - the season was a flat washout - but the end isn't indicative of all of it - there were many games in the middle where we competed, dominated and could and should have scored a couple and didn't and then went on to lose both the plot, and then lose or draw late..... This Deja-vu football pointed to some issues, with missing and unfit players being also (for me) a big part of not being able to get fully cohesive, and look like, say easily the 3rd best team, etc... The longer this went on, and the drop in form capacity of folks like salah/Mac/Gakpo meant we were never going to really find the pulse to get it together. I'd have been interested to see how much better we'd have been if Isak hadn't got injured just when he and Wirtz were starting to play well. I'm guessing that probably with that and Bradley not being crocked we'd have been just the same as Man Utd in the past few months. Good but not great. And, the fact is, they are bloody delighted with their position and results.
Yep. imo if we see solid improvements in style of play, and good progress in Cups he and we will be fine to renew. CL qual would be icing I think. A new era begins.
