In recent weeks/months I'm getting these unsolicited emails from BigSoccer which I never got before, and which I don't really want to receive. They're like weekly highlights of various content/posts found on BS. I checked my Profile settings to see if there was some communication setting related to this, which I'd mistakenly left enabled, but I found nada. (Personally the only time I wish to receive an email from BS is when someone replies to a PM/conversation, and I have a setting to reflect that) So can someone in charge of this, please stop this from happening in future? For me and perhaps other BS members? Thanks. Here's a sample of the latest email I received, just in case it helps: > -----Original Message----- > From: BigSoccer [mailto:helpdesk@bigsoccer.com] > Sent: Wednesday, February 07, 2018 12:04 PM > To: xxxxxxxxx > Subject: Geoff Cameron - Speaks out. @Gittnbizzee has also received one today (and one last month), also without having a setting to receive one. I did not receive the email either time.
These go out periodically and highlight some of the weeks interesting topics. There is a link at the bottom of the newsletter to unsubscribe and if you aren't interested in the mail, just click
as long as they're confirmed as actually being from you, that's what we'll do - but if they were spam/phishing mail to seem like they were from you instead, then one should never click links. edited to add: to "unsubscribe" - one should have first subscribed
Thanks. I just got the latest email, clicked Unsubscribe, and opted out. But really we shouldn't really be opted into this by default, me thinks.
