Well, we're forced to sit on the sidelines and root against LA. Put any playoff-related posts here. First up, Rapids @ Galaxy in about four hours.
What happened, Bill, did they censor your picture? Aside from that, today will be the first day on which I will be cheering on Carrieri and the little Scotsman.
No, nobody censored the picture. The cruddy free web hosting I use often doesn't allow pictures to be linked from outside their site. Sometimes you will see it and sometimes you won't. So here's the URL if you don't see the picture in the first post above and you want to see it: http://www.geocities.com/billreeves/kitten.html
That's a terrific photo. Death to the fish! Go Carrieri and El Pibe! Goodsport, where's the Valderrama mask?
Oh my freakin' heck!!!! That is the funniest thing I have ever seen Bill. I almost spewed my Snapple laughing at that one!
Well, for lack of anything resembling a life here, I'm going to do occasional PBP for the game tonight. Four minutes in, Robin Fraser of Colorado gets Cobi Jones with a nasty tackle. He got a yellow card, but it could have been red. Cobi just got taken off on a stretcher. Play has restarted and they're still working on Cobi.
It's the 18th minute now. Cobi came back on the field after about five minutes after getting fouled. Lalas got a yellow for a pretty hard tackle earlier. Pretty chippy game. And a kitten narrowly escaped a couple of minutes ago when Ruiz headed it over the goal.
LA scores off a corner kick. But it wasn't Ruiz so no kittens have been harmed yet. 1-0 LA in the 22nd.
If Khartman is "the cat," does he get along with Ruiz "the fish." I wish he'd just up and eat Fish. And if Khartman is "the cat," will he die at some point when Ruiz scores. Just random thoughts to ponder.
Yeah, I guess Khartman is "el gato" -- but I think that it's "los gatitos" which get killed when Ruiz scores. Khartman is apparently OK since he just saved a PK. Still 2-0 LA in the 38th minute.
Dang Khartman and his PK saves. If he would just eat the Fish like cats are supposed to do, he would save so many of his kind.
Well, it's halftime. That was pretty grim if you're not rooting for LA. Colorado did not have a lot of offense, and when they caught a break on the PK call, Spencer shot it right where Khartman was diving. 2-0 LA. And the most shocking statistic of the night -- if you add up all of the goals scored by Ruiz in all of the games this year (MLS regular season and playoff, and US Open Cup), 40 kittens have been killed since Ruiz joined MLS. How can the LA fans live with that?
I'm really going to miss fluffy. I only had that kitten for two days, it loved me. Oh how it would pur when I would return home from the bar. Oh well, I guess it's on to another kitten, probably won't even make it through the rest of the game though.
Well, it's 3-0 LA, Hendrickson got one in the 71st minute. Coach's new kitten has been spared for now.
I'm going to miss Tiger. Such a cute little tabby cat, he loved to play with string and stare at the birds... Goodbye Tiger. *Snif*
The latest kitten casualty happens in the 84th minute. Ruiz scores again. 4-0 LA. Ruiz has now been subbed out, so no more kittens will be killed tonight. Barring some miracle comeback, this was about the most one-sided playoff game I've seen. I can't believe Colorado is one of the top four teams in MLS. The Quakes tanked the last four games of the season, but they gave LA a much better fight than Colorado did tonight. So, until tomorrow's Columbus @ New England game, please light a candle for the two kittens who lost their lives tonight.
