At home versus the current number one in our crazy three-way points tie for first. The number three has a walkover, so I have to win by at least three goals to claim sole possession of first. I think I may be able to pull it off.

Playing the #6 team who has sold a bunch of players including his midfield. I should be able to get a nice PIC road win.

I play 8th place on the road, he hasn't logged on since late April, and was a walkover last week due to a red card. He only has 9 players on the field though. Even though I'm missing my 2 starting wingers I should win no problem.

Nothing yet, despite what must be a good midfield advantage on my behalf. I guess I'll have to wait under the scond half to really start grinding him down.

edit: ...and I just missed a free kick. Cripes.

I took out one of his CD's. Hopefully that'll help open things up.

edit: ...and with 83% possession I only get one normal chance. Thankfully my captain middie nailed it. Number one on my to-do list: Buy new forwards.

I won 2-1 going 0/2 on set pieces, and despite 92% possession I only got two regular chances. I still won, but man, this was WAY too close a call.

Ended up winning 4-1. Still in 5th place but now 5 pts clear of the auto drop zone.

Oh by the way, one pt out of first.

won 6-0, moved up into 5th place, with another big match with the 6th place team next week at home, followed by a match against the new number 7 team the week after. Will be interesting to see where things go.

PICed tonight since I MOTSed last week. Played a 4-4-2 with everybody defensive and over-compensated wayyyyy too much for his passable attack since I thought I'd be dominated in midfield at his place. Turns out that I actually would win midfield despite PICing but because I played everybody defensive, didn't get a single chance and his left passable attack somehow got a goal against my outstanding (high) right defense.

Boo hoo, lost 1-0 and barely floating above the relegation zone. I guess this is just part of the damn learning curve that is hattrick...

Great win, 2-1 against the Syd's Army who is in 1st. At the last minute decided to go for the win instead of a pic/press. Went down 0-1 but pulled it out.
