Friday LOU at ORL about to start. I did not chime in last week. I am at 10 correct and 25 incorrect predictions, which in baseball is 0.286, OK for a second baseman. This week I am going with LOU,
Post got cut off. I am going with LOU, NC, GOT, CHI, and RGN. Over the season, I have enjoyed watching Louisville - I like their style. Showing up positive so far vs ORL. I think KC is ready to win vs RGN, but the players RGN have are good enough to win without a coach.
Its tough with NT players gone and hard to tell who can beat who with the players that don't usually start.
If you're wondering why Erceg and Riley are/were still available this weekend, apparently, Orlando and North Carolina blocked their release for New Zealand's Olympics pre-camp. They have released the other national team players (American and Brazilian), so I can understand why Sermanni is upset.
Given New Zealand's inability to have national team games over the last 16 months, I can understand Sermani's fury - I would be livid. I suppose both clubs justified it due to both players' vast Olympic and international experience, so they didn't feel the need to accomodate a young player's first opportunity. HOWEVER, the lack of consideration for the New Zealand teammates of ex-captain Erceg and captain Riley is unjustifiable.
How is that Washington can look so bad a week ago against Chicago -- and so good last night against NC. I attribute it to the Washington coaches ridiculous 600 pass per game objective. Against Chicago, Washington played like robots to get to 600 passes. Last night, they were open and flexible. Hatch, with two goals, reminded us that she's still the number one goal scorer for Washington despite Rodman and Sanchez. Sanchez had a fabulous game. She's smallish, but looks like she might be a future withdrawn 9 on the National team. Watch out Morgan and Lloyd! Sanchez is coming. And Rodman, whose potential seems unlimited.
CC'21 final rematch ends in a draw, just like the original If the CC'20 final ends like the original with a HOU win, there will be four teams tied for 1st and two more teams one win or less behind. If it's a draw, there will be three on 1st and just 1pt steps from 3rd all the way down to 8th - maybe even down to 9th if RGN beat KC.
The standings table is kind of wild. Three tied for 1st. The difference between first and seventh is 3 points. (Eighth and ninth only a couple points back.) PARITY. Alas, poor KC.
Currently watching Portland vs Gotham, I feel like they should have 3 forwards Morgan Weaver, Simone, and Smith. They had many chances to score. Just couldn't get it in.
KC just hasn't score as much and they are not being destroyed either. They need some scorers. Looking at the scores its ties and 1 or 2 goal difference but they are usually 0.
