Will be interesting to see which holds up: Chicago's great defense (second-best in the league) or their currently-lacking attack (worst in the league). I'm really hoping they pull out the 3pts, mostly so they can afford to drop 2 or 3 to Houston later this weekend. X-D

WNY has the worst May of anyone, I think, with seven total games, five of which against current-top-four teams. They should handle NJ easily enough this week, though the KC game will be tough. I want someone besides Portland to catch Seattle, and right now the two best candidates are WNY and KC, so I'm not sure who to cheer for here. I think WNY has the definite advantage, though, since KC's lineup is going to be very haphazard after losing their NTers.

Will be fun to see the KC-DC rematch. As I've said several times this season already, the Spirit seem like a very bipolar team; considering that they'll be rested and KC will be exhausted from their WNY match, I'm thinking DC probably has the edge.

    =edit=
Speaking of catching Seattle - is it too early to bring the ACES movement into NWSL? X-D

Certainly Seattle has been great but Im not ready to lose all perspective until I see them do it against the better teams. The schedule has been set up perfectly for them and at the end of the day they have two wins against Washington, one against Houston, Boston and Sky Blue. No need to start plotting magic numbers just yet.

Well, true - I made my comments half in jest, but it's also currently a fact that, no matter how the next few gamedays go, Seattle is "stuck" at the top of the table until late mid- to late-May.

Yeah, WNY kind of got screwed a bit on the schedule, having so many tough matches in a month where 2 important players will be gone. Fortunately they get a match against their old punching bag thrown in there. Even though KC will be missing players, WNY will as well.

Good news for East Coasters- the Portland/Seattle match has been moved up to 7 PM on the East Coast to avoid conflict with the NBA playoffs. It was originally scheduled for 10PM.

Not necessarily. I know a lot of people are going to miss the game now. Might increase youtube views but thats probably it.

They called in their amateur reserves, so they have Dreska and Geha on the bench.

Apparently Chicago has no backup keeper tonight. They had better pray nothing happens to Vancil.

Watching the other match, but following it on Twitter. She made, what, 3 saves in less than a minute? I've been hoping to see her get more time this season, and it's unfortunate she's stuck behind LeBlanc.

No, apparently there was another defender back, or Goodson would have been sent off for sure.

Three or four, with her defenders cluttered around her in a very un-helpful manner.
