It's very possible that this volleyball won't be over by 7:00. Color me non-plussed, but not surprised. GO IPFW!

Pre-empted by volleyball. Men's volleyball. College men's volleyball.

Okay, if IPFW gets 30 points, it's over. If Pepperdine gets 30 points, I throw a brick through my TV.

Freaking VOLLEYBALL. At least kick off isn't until :22, I see.

What do they play to in this sport, anyway? 21? 25? I'm not up to speed on my college volleyball rules.

It appears to be first to 30, gotta win by 2.

If there is a Game 5, game point is at 16.

If Pepperdine had forced a fifth game, BS might have crashed.

And DaMarcus Beasley's hometown school goes to the national championship. I couldn't be happier for them, given that it means that game is now over.

To be fair, I was unaware that Parkhurst had an Irish passport.

What was the stat they just gave - Noonan with 27 goals in his first fifty or so games, then one in his last 26 regular season games?

Wynalda's question is fair - is that all of the clips they had of Heaps playing for Duke? I'd rather it wasn't shown, but if they were going to, him doing something good (and not looking like a shrimp in a huddle) would be a nice thing.

    Dear Krafts,

Solve the Shalrie situation. He's not right.

I've been a big defender of Dave O'Brien since he first came on to the soccer scene, but the lack of feel he has for the sport of soccer is startling.

He has a great voice, a great knowledge of sports in general and he gets his partners involved well and is very professional. He sounds and looks Big Time, something MLS has rarely had. But he just doesn't know the sport very well and it comes across at key times in his announcing.

I thought it might get better but after a year a half and probably over 50 MLS/US/WC games, he just hasn't picked up much of the subleties or flow of the game.

Holy crap, I just saw a superimposed 10 yard circle around a free kick!

    What's next, an offside line?
