Here are the teams in the respective Groups that have either qualified for the liguilla for Segunda A or are relegated to Third Division after 37 weeks of play. There is one game left. The top four teams from each group play in the liguilla, the bottom four teams are relegated and the 16th place team plays in a playoff with the three other 16th place teams and the loser gets relegated:

This kind of Liguilla is a little unjust IMO,If you showed that you are the first of your group after 38 matchs ,why you have to risk all the season in 4 matchs?.Is true that there isn´t the same level in all the groups but...

The last years teams like El Castellon after won in regular season for more of 20 points they weren´t able of pass La liguilla and still they are in Segunda B

No I typed with my eyes closed! :D Actually Betis will have no problem in these playoffs, as their play of late has improved since Joaquin Parra an ex-Betico took over the B team about 8 weeks after working with the C team this season.

I´ll see the match Pontevedra-Racing de Ferrol playing for 1st position in group I, to avoid any first classified in the other groups as Atlético de Madrid "B".
The other galician teams will play next week, Celta de Vigo "B" vs. Ourense, very important for the last one. It´s possible that Galicia gets its four teams in the promotion league.

I´m only disagree about one thing: The liguilla is not a LITTLE unjust, it´s TOTALLY...
Many teams were desperated season by season playing the liguilla, without getting the success. The no-first teams play less nervous or without pressure, something like Denmark in swedish EURO.

I´d porpose this competition changes into only two groups in 2nd "B". Now, the promotion till "La Liga" is easier than to the 2nd division one.
By the way, happy to find this thread.

You'll never get that change. Eighty Segunda B teams whittled down to 40, how are these teams going to pay their players and reduce their debt if they were forced to play in Tercera? I'm not a fan of the liguilla either but it makes the season more interesting than only having the top team from each grupo get promoted and the others have nothing to play for.

Celta B could be denied a chance at promotion if Celta goes down to 2nd, as you cannot have two sides from the same club in the same level. That would be a disappointment since last year Celta B just avoided relegation to 3rd late in the season. Their keeper is very good, José Juan or Josiño.

So in that group you have to look at the 5th place team as a possible promotion playoff team.

That is incorrect, Celta B would be able to play in the promotion liguilla and if they win their liguilla their spot would be taken by the second place team in their liguilla. It makes sense not to punish a team for achieving a slot in the liguilla, they deserved it so they get to participate, it's if they win that the regulations take affect.

Oh please, I hope Castellón have to wait one more season to promotion. I prefer Racing does it

That is not entirely correct. As the liguilla starts the last day of 1st Division, Celta B has been included. Two years back Zaragoza B qualified for the liguilla but since Zaragoza had already been relegated before the last day they were denied a spot. It was given to the 5th place team, Terrassa, who surprisingly went on to win every game in their playoff and promote to 2nd (where they still are).

Thus there is a problem here with Celta B. They play one game seriously hoping Celta is saved (they have it tough, Espanyol needs to beat last place Murcia tomorrow), but the rest they know they cannot go up. So their playing the playoff falsifies the results as everyone knows they are playing for nothing. I personally think that in their case the game should have been postponed until mid-week, and if Celta were dropped the Celta B spot could be given to the fifth place team, as done with Terrassa two years ago.

To add to this. There is no reason to force the liguilla games to be played simultaneously except on the last day. In fact some games are going today Saturday, so forcing Celta B to play on Sunday is foolish, apart from being a discrimination against their first rival.

That will not be the case see article from Marca regarding Celta B and there situation. As I mentioned earlier they will play in the liguilla regardless of what Celta does tomorrow. If I am not mistaken the Spanish Soccer Federation changed the rules after Terrassa promotion of two years ago. If Celta is relegated and Celta B wins their liguilla then the second place team in the liguilla will be promoted to Segunda.

MUCHA IGUALDAD Y AUSENCIA DE FAVORITOS EN LOS CUATRO GRUPOS

    -------------------------------snip-------------------------------------
