Andy Williams from waaaaaay downtown, catches Hartman from almost half field and RSL leads 3-1 with five minutes left.

That's your goal of the week. Those things always win. (And it'll have RSL chalk-wielding hooligan backing in the online poll.)

So what are we saying -- about 52 yards on that goal? Looked like he was on the 44-yard line, and the goal is set back about eight yards in the end zone ...

    50 yards out. Wow.

And now I hear f-bombs coming in clearly.

Death, taxes, and the Wizards sucking ass in August.

September can't get here soon enough.

Four minutes of stoppage. I am definitely more relaxed following Bouma's Bomb than before. That makes three pretty sweet goals tonight (Espindola, EJ, Williams).

Three wins already this year, and before the end of August! :D

RSL are a little lucky that their second half meltdown didn't cost them one or three points. The new Argentines could make them respectable, although it's too late for this year. They raised the level of the whole team in the first half.

KC sorely needed an aerial threat tonight; lots of wasted service. Colombano seems to be a good addition for them on the outside. Sealy was pretty bad - he might be still hurting.

What's the over/under on Columbano receiving a straight red before the year is through?

That guy has multi-game suspension written all over him.

    FYP.

Don't know if it's more accurate, but it sure as heck feels that way.

NYRB looking good over the first 23 minutes against Chicago - good chances for Wolyniec and Mathis in particular. No Jozy on the bench.

. . . and a moment later, Blanco gets open and almost chips Waterreus.

Mathis's's, Mathisses....Clint's ability to put the ball where he wants on a 40 yard pass or to shoot on the half volley with his off foot is still really impressive. Cleetus can still play a little!

In the DC-FCD game, a fifth minute (poor) clearance by Dario Sala led to a long shot from Ben Olsen, who beat Sala to the far post. FCD fans happy that Sala is back may be rethinking whether or not his rust is shaken off - two mistakes on that play alone.
